so then..... a riddle for someone to work out for me. we dominated from start to end a team in a higher league who are 2nd in that league and on form. but we end up losing 0-3, could of been 0-5 as they hit the post twice. oh and i forgot to mention they only had 10 men as well. what the **** just happened?
You got ****ed and only you could say you dominated the game! They dominated possession and they could of scored 5 against 10 men.. Yeah sounds like you battered them?
im an honest guy. we did dominate. the radio had a commentator from both yeovil and rovers and the yeovil guy even said this all throughout the game. yeovil were shocking. but as we lack creativity and pace, we never looked like scoring. they scored from 2 direct free kicks and then a late goal on the counter when we puched everyone up.
CJ more like widdle me widdle we were p**s poor and shipped in 3 goals to nil. Whatever way you look at it not a positive night for the boys in blue qtrs. Until we change the midfield and as you said buy a striker from a decent club who has a track record we are always going to look vunerable. COR
scoreline not positive but performance was positive. remember yeovil are on form top of league 1 and we held our own and was the better side tonight. we were unfortunate that their 2 direct free kicks went in. if it wasnt for that then they wouldnt have hit us on the counter for their 3rd. yeovil commentator said rovers were very good tonight and mcghee had his tactics spot on and stopped yeovil playing. even gill sounded he had a good game, especially 1st half. if we play like we did tonight, not many sides would beat us. issue is we wouldnt win too many either as we dont have anything on offer in final 3rd so dont are not taking advantage of poor teams. we need at least 2 strikers now. tonight was a massive improvement from saturdays game going by listening to the game and reading comments on the OS forum who actually attended and saw it with their own eyes. players must be hurting after tonight. just hope mcghee can get them motivated for saturday.
Agreed. I think its **** losing 3-0 to a team with ten men, Yeovil maybe 2nd but how long will they stay there a couple of defeats and some injuries and they will slide down the table.
How has it come to us getting thrashed by Yeovil In the space of 3 seasons we have gone from a fairly decent league one side to a very poor league two side fighting off relegation.
i do not think a humble little club filling a relegation spot in L2 can expect anything other than a thrashing from a club 2nd in league 1 and playing championship football. i think you got off lightly. this saturday is the time to judge how well the team and manager are doing. sometimes you give all the impressions of a dragon fly floating down the thames on a dock leaf with an erection and asking for the tower bridge to be raised!!
And to think over the last 10 years we've played the likes of Man City, Leeds, Norwich, Sheff Weds, Charlton, Southampton and now we are in a lower league then the likes of Yeovil, Stevenage, Crewe, Crawley, Strawberry Town, Swindle Town and those cretinous erks the 82ers.
"sometimes you give all the impressions of a dragon fly floating down the thames on a dock leaf with an erection and asking for the tower bridge to be raised" he's got you lot sussed!!
