It's weird but I never felt any bad feeling towards Cesc. Barcelona is his home town and the club where he trained as a kid. They are also considered the best team in the world, so I can't really blame him. I was even pleased to see him do well at Barca and for Spain. I was disappointed but not hurt by his transfer. Seeing RVP go to United is by far the worst betrayal I have experienced as an Arsenal supporter, it even makes that day when Adebayor scored against us for Citeh and run the length of the pitch to gloat in front of our fans pale in comparison. RVP really has burnt his bridges and acted in an unacceptable, disrespectful way when he released that statement. Cesc, on the other hand never criticized the club and has never said anything that wasn't respectful since he left. I would welcome Cesc's return in a heartbeat, never going to happen though..
----Arteta----Fabregas------------ --Cazorla----Wilshere-----Podolski ---------------Giroud---------------- OR ----Arteta----Diaby------------ --Cazorla----Fabregas-----Wilshere ---------------Podolski----------------
Relax, it'll never happen. The use of tongue in cheek jokes without those little pictures of a man running away doesn't work....
On one hand, he did refuse* to play and forced his way out. His behaviour was also one of the causes why he went for so cheap, we weren't able to demand a higher fee than the £29m we got. On the other, the guy is class player, a fans' favourite here and he has clearly stated that Arsenal will always have a place in his heart. The buy back clause makes things a bit more interesting. The good thing is, we are not desperate for a playmaker at the moment. *Even Nasri played for us until he was sold.
He loves the club with all his hearst, in a SSN special report when he left, he cried when he talked about arsene, he still refers to arsenal as 'we'. he loves this club and id be delighted to have him back.
Still trying to figure out this 35% of next transfer fee item you mentioned. Can anyone explain it to me, please.
Well essentially, if you think about it, yes we would, or we would get him at a 35% discount which is much the same thing. I think I would take him back. I think Barcelona were shameful in their behavior, I'm not sure Fabregas could have done much about it, without pissing off his new employers.
You realise this is stupid, right? The guy makes one comment about not being kept on for 90 minutes every game, and you guys all start talking about re-signing him. Just because he's frustrated with something at the club he's at doesn't mean he's looking to jump ship, ffs.
If you mean that Fabregas and Xavi are both Spanish midfielders that play for Barca, then I'd agree that Fabregas = Xavi. But other than that Fabregas is a very different player to Xavi.
Have you forgotten about him going to the Spanish Grand Prix rather than attending Arsenal's last game of the season ?How about him to all intents going on strike before the 2011/12 season ?
At Barcelona maybe, but he mostly played the Xavi role for us especially pre 2010. Sent from my Nexus S using Tapatalk 2
Yup, that's all there is to it. Which is why I criticized Cesc because he wasn't really needed at Barca when he left but he was needed at Arsenal.
He's clearly still an Arsenal fan - he tweets about us all the time. I'd take him back. However, I did have a good laugh at what he said here: He wouldn't show his unhappiness around the team but he's happy to slag the manager off to the media?
