http://soccernet.espn.go.com/conversation?id=1151122&cc=5739 Whatever happened to 'fighting for your place'? I guess the grass isn't always greener. I would never want him back... would you?
Even though he was so desperate to get away he was willing to pay part of the transfer fee? It's one thing to leave the club but the manner he did it in left a really sour taste in my mouth.
i'd take him back in a heart beat, midfield options of Fabregas, Wilshere, and Cazorla would be the best attacking-creative midfield in England, and with Arteta and an on form Diaby in there as proper CM's to protect the midfield and defence, that would be the best balanced midfield you could possibly hope for. Just look at what Cazorla is doing, now imagine adding another Spanish maestro in there (alongside the anchor man Arteta), then what will happen? Answer: take a look at how Spain dominate and win everything! Cazorla= Iniesta Fabregas= Xavi Wilshere= A mix of both
I don't understand the anger still levied at Cesc, he clearly loves the club and always said he would only ever leave for Barca - yes this meant we didn't receive market value for him but I don't think there was ever anything malicious in his actions, I still believe he loves Arsenal with a passion. Would I like to see him back in an Arsenal shirt ? You bet.....
Yes, that was bad form from Cesc, but he became frustrated here and the best club in the world was chasing him. And that club just happens to be his boyhood club as well. City and Chelsea tried to tempt him away from us as well, but he told them where to go, at least.
What do you mean? Fairplay, I don't think anyone would deny his talent and it is clearly missed (as good as Cazorla is), I just wish for the days where players had a bit more integrity. Wishful thinking in this day and age I guess.
I also don't get why some fans hate on Fabregas, the guy was pure class till the end, he never made a noise about wanting to leave, never did anything negative, just compare that to the **** RVP and how he handled himself. Fabregas was a gentleman from start to finish, and has been very pro Arsenal even while at Barca, he's never had a bad word to say, and never had a bad parting shot. So I can't see why there can be any negativity? I believe he also took a pay cut at Barca, so I don't see why there's negativity, the boy wanted to go play for the best team in world football, his hometown, and home club where he started out at, and play with some of the greatest players, who also happen to be his friends, and players he grew up with at Barca's academy, surely you can't hate him for that? He did give us 7 seasons of excellent football (was with us for 8, but his breakthrough came in the 2005 season).
In reality, I doubt he will ever come back. He seems like a player that would have too much pride to come crawling back... plus, whether we like it or not, he is back home. Fair play, I don't deny his love for the club, I guess he just loves Barca more. I've never begrudged him for leaving for Barca, that was always going to be inevitable, I just feel when we needed him most, he left us. Barca weren't exactly in dire need of Cesc considering their options. Hmm, didn't know that. Interesting.
Well I appreciate it. I hope it hasn't gone down because of that post. I won't lie, I'm still a little upset with how and when he left. When you put it into context, Fabregas was a gent compared to that **** Van Persie. And he's always been very kind in his words for Arsenal. I don't read twitter much but when I do take a peek now and again, he always speaks highly of Arsenal.
