We Deserved To Lose

Blackpool were much better and seemed really up for it.

Players who have shown their class this season went AWOL. Nolan , Enrique , Shola , Barton , Tiote hang your heads in shame.

Only positive was the number of fantastic saves Krul made , he was sublime. Without a shadow of a doubt our man of the match. And I'm also still convinced the ball wasn't ENTIRELY over the line for their goal.

Next game? Liverpool who just thrashed Brum 5-0.

Hold on tight.

 

Christ I didnt realise Liverpool were next. Maybe Ben Arfa can save us.

Krul was excellent today, our MOTM. Coloccini was good except when ****ing about at the back, Lover did well as did Jonas.

But as for the rest of them

Why is Ameobi still on the payroll?

 

I have no ****ing idea why Pardew took Lovenkrands off for Ireland. Shola was **** and ****ing lazy as usual.

 

Can only hope that Ameobi gets a knock in training otherwise Pardew is going to keep playing him for god knows what reason.

 

Nolan IMO was the worst of the bunch which includes Ameobi, Barton and Enrique. Guti, Lover, Krul and Ireland were the only shining lights in a horror display(mostly in the second half). Wasn't this the team we beat 4-1 in the Championship? Amazing.

 

Forgot about how **** Barton was , added him to the list.

 

Ireland looked good as well, quite sharp and some nice passes that would have led to one on ones if Ameobi realised he is allowed to move. The fastest he went was when he came off, when you're supposed to waste time. Drop him at once.

Blackpool are as vulnerable to a counter attack as they are dangerous on one, so this would have been perfect for Ranger, should have got 45 mins. And Kuqi managed to outperform Shola in the space of 2 and a half minutes, by managing more than a light jog.

Simpson was good as well, forgot him.

Nolan seriously off the pace, should have been playing reserve games to keep fit. Tiote booked for his first foul when they had about 10 certain yellows tuned down. We made Blackpool look like a Champions League side.

 

Annoying thing is that the one time Nolan made a good attacking move and gave the ball to Shola for a one-two, he ****ing shot from the edge of the box with his left... If he'd just poked the ball back to Nolan he was in behind their defence and through.

 

bad performance today allround , atleast we ground out another point which makes us virtually safe now , maybe next week is time to give ranger or airey or ferguson a start cant do much worse than shola who has been awful for weeks now ;/ if we had a decent strike force we would be in a much better position than currently , defenders mst rub their hands together when shola is playing , totally stationary needs 20 yards to get to full pace which isnt that quick anyway!
hoofing the ball up to him today really did us no good whatsoever we should of took nolan off much sooner and put barton into the middle to try and keep hold of the ball.
happy with the point , disappointed with the performance !
