The thing that excites me most is the age of the players we've bought. Other squads will be using zimmer frames soon....if we can survive this year, the future is SO bright. And wouldn't it be typical of saints to get something from the Man U game before most of the new signings slot in?
It has been brilliant. If we had got a CB as well we would have to have voted, "pinch me, I must be dreaming!"
Stay away from those percentages, Beddy. Of the 84 people who have cast a vote so far, 78 of them, or 88.10% of the total voters, are reasonably satisfied. Can't include those clueless, nervous ones.
For what its worth, SkySports have decided that we have had a successful transfer window...whilst I would agree the proof is in the pudding. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11096/8048735/Winners-and-Losers
If there was an option for "Pleased with the ambition shown, but having concerns about the defence" then I would have voted for that. Hopefully Yoshida is a rock, Fox finds his feet, Shaw grows into a superstar and it all comes good. I'm very pleased with the signings we have made though. It's great that we've gone for younger players rather than journeymen and we'll grow into a better team. How on Earth did we get such a precocious talent like Ramirez to come here?
None of the above choices for me, so I'll elaborate. Really happy we broke our long standing Rory record & captured J-rod, that was a brilliant day on n606 as we seemed to find out before the rest of the world. Very pleased we went for Paulo Gazza over the much hyped Buttman, Brum were taking the mick. Clyne.....a steal! A couple of new-bies I've not seen much of, I'll have to have faith in the decision at this stage. And now the troubling part. Gaston - A big fee, perhaps a big gamble. The kid looks good, but theres a lot of things to consider like will the young S.American adapt okay, I'm worried that Adkins might have more pressure piled on him by this transfer. I really want him to hit the ground running, just worried that might take longer than people expect. Billy Sharp - Gutted he's gone to Forest on loan. Great pre-season, looks fitter, sharper, he looked ready to be a great option for us. And to boot, a cracking lad. So, in a nut shell, not a moan, but maybe a little concern.
