If MH thinks that taraabt is too much of a liability away from home then what is the point of us keeping him? The maximum games he can play from now on will be 18(the home games we have left), and that's barring injury or suspensions! He only plays well when given a good run in the team and feels needed. I personally think he'll have another poor season unless he's given the chance to shine and played every game. It's all very well having work horses in the team, but you need that flash of brilliance in games at this level to push the team away from what happened last year. A player running 400 miles in a game is all good and well, but it's tricks, goals and the feeling of the unexpected that worries the opposition, wins games and puts bums on seats..........

I think some of the Adel worshippers on here need to wake up and smell the coffee, we need players who can perform consistently, not on a whim when they might feel 'loved'...

I am a fan of Taarabt but I am starting to think he's too much hard work.

If I had a girlfriend as high maintenance as him, she'd have been asked to leave a long time ago.

But that's what I'm saying. I don' the worship him at all and every player should be in the team on merit. To get the best out of a player like Adel, you've got to use him how I've stated! So if we're not going to use him in many games, then to me he's a waste of a squad place and we'd have been better off selling him. It does not good for team spirit to have someone like him moping around the training ground. He's an all or nothing player, not an if and when......

Bang on. I hate this notion that he has that 'X' factor so we must keep him. Bulls***! Other clubs seem to get on fine without an Adel type character in their side, because they work as a team rather than focus on an individual. And I'd prefer have consistency at this level.

I always love it watching players with a bit of flair. There are not many QPR fans where I live and when I am asked about them by my mates they often ask how Taarabt is doing. They remember him from that Championship winning team.

I think he looked good at the end of last year and clearly by signing him up on a new deal MH sees his potential.

I find it exciting when he is on the ball and he gives us options other players do not.

I think it is forgotten that a lot of people go to football to be entertained

    Thanks Oslo.
I would just add that Taarabt has been my 12 year olds favourite player since he was on loan from Spurs. He also tries to emulate him when he is playing and it has definitely encouraged him to try and take players on if it is the best option.

So why didn't we sell him and sign someone more suited to the situation. We'd have had a transfer fee and wages to use on a player that will make our squad strong, like Dawson.....

I think that MH, not knowing his favored formation and best 11 has not helped Adel and a few others (SWP for example). For the last ten games of last season we played with a set formation and the same players in the same position week in and week out except for suspension. Adel thrived on that. Nobody can say that he was not worth his place in the team during this spell. He worked his socks off. He is an exceptional talent. MH needs to go firm on a set formation and get us working as a unit. Is Adel one of our best 11 players? of course he is. Not having a pop at MH but his team selection and tactics have been very poor so far this year. If Adel works as hard as he did in those last ten games then he can deffo fit into our team both home and away. Players grow in confidence when they are playing; at the moment many of our players are in and out of the team like yoyos.

I agree with this Nuts. When MH settled on a team end of last season, particularly the back 4, we did a lot better. He needs to do this again Quick, but I'm sure he realises this too. He has got some big big decisions to make, especially on who and how we are going to play defensively.

Spot on! So in that case, why doesn't MH remember how well he played and how hard he worked? I thought NW was too soft on Adel at the start of the season last year. When MH came in, I thought he'd be perfect to get the best out of him...

    To the Adel knockers;

We wouldn't be in the Premier League without him.

His contribution in the Championship winning season was, a league winning contribution.

In my opinion, he should be in the team every game.

So he's unreliable, doesn't track back, has a strop almost every game, is inconsistent and incredibly arrogant.

Which is exactly why I love him.

As someone's already said. I go to the football to be entertained as much as going to see my team. Those few moments of genius make my season ticket worth the price. Yes we could be nice and efficient but that's hardly the QPR way and boring as anything!!

Of course we don't NEED Adel. He's a luxury and one I'd like to see play every single week. Just think back to the 08/09 season where we were comfortably mid-table but didnt score away for how many thousand minutes. Yes we grinded out results but **** me it was boring.

Here we go again! This type of player is what has always made QPR different and long may it continue IMO. That said I am amazed that the seemingly dour and systematic approach of MH has space for this kind of maverick. At a guess the football loving Tony Fernadez played a huge part in getting him to sign a new contract. Whether that works out or not remains to be seen. In the meantime the Taarabt haters should perhaps consider a season ticket at Swansea instead.

If you had a girlfriend like Adel she'd do special things to you that no other girl can. If you dumped her for leaving those clothes laying around the room and got a new bird you'd soon realise you loved those special things and they outweighed the negatives! But then it would be too late because she'd be banging your mate down the road who's gloating at all those extras she does!

He's brilliant and offers something no one else does. It's a squad game and he has his part to play. He just needs to adjust to not bring the biggest fish in the pond, as do several.
