Walked a bit of the North Norfolk coast today, with fresh crab for lunch on the way. One of the finest days of the summer too..spoiled a little by a minor scrape with a 4x4 in a very narrow lane. A few small scratches but why people have to drive such wide vehicles down lanes designed for a man and a dog is beyond me. Oh well, time to open a bottle while Mrs H gets to work on a chicken...
Not someone else on a diet. I need a bit of a spare tyre at present for my daily stabbing. I think that my leg is losing weight as the plaster was very tight a week ago and I can get four fingers down the top now.
LOL .... got a big holiday coming up soon OFH ..... 3 weeks in Mexico to celebrate a big anniversary .... so started a diet in Feb & have lost 2 stone .... so will be much more comfortable in my swimwear now
Well done Minx, great calorie counting and many congrats on your special anniversary - you must be a similar anniversary cycle to the W_Y's
Better not let Mme see this or she will start planning where she will want to go in a couple of years time . Well done on the diet, and all without the help of our fitness thread.
If any of you lovely gents & ladies on here have a £5 to spare after pay day check this out: http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/164468-A-Touch-Far-Vetched-out-soon-please-read-and-support! .... make yourself feel good
Does this give any clue to the way that the mind of our owner works? http://udinese.it/ENG/script/view.php?id=1711
Morning all, a misty start to the day with a touch of autumn about it. Mme Lebon has come in and taken out half of my stitches this morning, so although it doesn't mean that I can start walking about, it does feel as if progress is being made. 12 million children return to school here today. Tomorrow being Wednesday they have the day off.
Just thought I would post this comment I heard from Phil Vickery when I was listening to talk sport very, very early this morning. He was talking about promising, young south american footballers. " Udinese buy up south american footballers by the bucket load. The fact that they are now with Watford means that they haven't made it."
Sæl öll. Cappuccino, coffee, tea donuts and fruit are on the bar. Frothy cappuccinos for for al, HH, Leon and W_Y Coffees for COYH, Frenchie, Kev rob theo and vic-rijrode Strong coffee for Sandy Milky coffee for Yorkie Espresso for SuffolkHorn Strong black coffees for Bragi Norway and zen Black coffee half hot half cold and no sugar for Charlie Tea for BHD jsybarry jerzeypie Lloydinio NZ and BCFCRed Tea with skimmed milk and no sugar for GG Hot chocolate with marshmallows for BBW Tea and cake for Minx Caramel latte for Hornette Una Paloma for Mexican Hornet
By "haven't made it", he presumably means they are not good enough for the top half of Serie A. I doubt very much if many of the current crop of "Watford" players are good enough consistently for the top half of the Championship never mind the bottom half of the Premiership. And how many of the players from Udinese that we have on loan are South American? And what would Phil Vickery know about the round ball game anyway? We'll see.......
Which Phil Vickery is that - the cauliflower-eared egg chaser or the apparently famous chef? And would either of them really be ideally placed to give considered comment? Annoyingly though, there may be an element of truth in what he says - the terms 'last chance saloon' and 'clearing house' are starting to spring to mind whenever I wonder why all these players are coming our way. But then , whilst they may not be good enough for Serie A & the Champions League, they may be good enough to get us out of the Championship - upwards, not downwards I hope.
