Great first posts. We all welcome you on here. It's always good to see new posters. We all hope you enjoy the site. I also think Granero would make a great no.10. Let's hope that Taarabt stops behaving like a manchild tough for that not to happen.
Nice one Totally. Were you ever PartiallyQPR? - or Impartially maybe! Welcome also both Pirates, Spanish and Bosnian! Ought to point out that supporting our club carries a health warning. Do you know what a roller-coaster is? (Don't bother looking it up on Google - you find out the real meaning soon enough!)
No, never partial. Had a season ticket and travelled away before Mrs Total dragged me to Sweden. I come over to LR as often as financially possible. I do now have a season ticket for IFK Norrköping, but my heart is always pumping hoops. Thanks for the welcome!
Welcome El Pirata! As you seen Granero play a lot maybe you can answer this - I think I read somewhere that Granero is best with a creative very attacking midfield player in front of him. Is the true or b*ll*cks?
Last season he played Xabi Alonso role in Real Madrid as Kaka or Ozil played closer to the goal. They're job was to crate chances and Granero kept the ball tidy at the centre of the field. I would say that he is great set-piece taker, even free kicks, he can swerve them nicely (not like Beckham) He is a great crosser altogether and it would be good to play a target man. He maybe sent two defence splitting passes that finished in a goal last year but once again it wasn't his job. Under Pellegrini he played attacking mid and had some great games although he was quite young. He was referred to as a Real Madrid Iniesta (an overstatement) and Mourinho once said that he was the most hardworking man in the squad. All I can say Granero adopted the deep-lying playmaker role very well and he didn' play as a no.10 in a long time, but I think that he is the best player in this team to play the no.10 role although I'm not familiar with all the players. I forgot to say that he tends to force shots.
Thanks Pirata -great stuff. Sounds like he could play deeper, with Adel in front of him, or further forward himself.
