    Aye, I may have been KPR fishing with that one ;)

    Still, Fletch has been better than a lot of big money names signed by PL teams who were in their mid / late 20s and hyped to the high heavens. Veron, Kleberson, Aquilani, Julio Baptista were all supposed to be great and all wound up ****. Even the ones who did ok like Ballack and Deco tended to have one or two good seasons then fade to obscurity and a free transfer. Hard to think of a top class CM, other than Makalele, who arrived in the PL after they'd turned 25 and really set the league alight in a Scholes, Keane, Gerrard or Lampard way.

    You mean Possebon? Pretty sure he was a free and we managed to sell him for about 50p so that was great business <ok> Liam Miller from Celtic IIRC, was a Bosman so again no cash involved. The youngsters are always a gamble, but at least they're a relatively cheap one. Like this Nick Powell - could be the next Scholes, and only £6 million so it's hardly a Veronesque punt.

    Yeah they were the ones.. Am sure there is more if I could be arsed to do research..

    My home town just made the local tv news, some mad bloke on the roof of a block of flats threatening to jump.. Police negotiators brought in.. They ended up tasering the ****er and he fell the roof anyway <laugh>

    Fair play, you wouldn't want to open your door to this at all.

    It's us that should be scared of Baz!!!

    I hope dearly that Liverpool sign Owen up before the squads are announced. I know it is highly unlikely to happen but for comedy value it would be great. I'd pity Owen himself though to be honest, he'd be given hell if some of the more fruity comments are to be taken at face value.

    Look at this charmer;

    Good use of **** sir!

    Just checked the dates, the United v Liverpool game is the day of my daughters christening!

    It will all be over by then but I'll get my bollocks put in a vice of I stop to watch it as it's all back to ours. Fortunately our kid will also be down and my bro in law and one of the Godfathers will want to watch so I might get away with it. Then again, it's got a tendancy to be ****.

    No doubt be texting me man Baz for it during it too!

    seems perfectly reasonable to watch it.. traditional that the men go in another room at fmily doo's in houses.. would be rude not to cater for your guests and set up a tv in the room the men stand in.. Our family the men usually stay in the kitchen as its nearer the beer and the women go cackle in the lounge..

    I'm hoping for good weather and that at this point most will be outside. Our dining room backs into the garden and there's a tv in there to stick it on. If I don't get away with that I'll have to put it on in the front room and slope off. I've booked the Monday off so plan to consume my body weight in Cidre. All being well like.

    Wishful thinking re the weather.. That said who knows..

    I hate watching us vs Liverpool. Worst game to watch as it's the one game I hate losing the most..

    Have no exciting plans over the next few weeks.. If the weather is nice sunday, may take a drive to a beach, may come your way..
