What an excellent account that is, Silver. Thanks. You've conveyed the atmosphere superbly. (I always suspected you were a complete nutter…)

As for photos, Naz (just seen your request quoted in Silver's post); my few pictures are a bit too private and most definitely unpublishable!

If it makes you feel better I got soaked on Friday and I didn't even bother to stay around to watch FP2 as all my 5 layers and waterproofs were ruined by the rain. I was lucky enough to be at eau rouge on FP1 and get some decent action as walking up there is a killer!

Do you reckon you saw me? I think I met you though!

Though if I know I saw you it wouldn't of taken you long to figure out it was me lol!

But there was a fair few amount of Seb fans at this GP.

Autosport clearly :emoticon-0152-heart Di Resta:

Vettel 9/10
Webber 7/10
Button 10/10
Hamilton 5/10
Alonso 8/10
Massa 7/10
Schumacher 8/10
Rosberg 6/10
Räikkönen 9/10
Grosjean 2/10
di Resta 9/10
Hülkenberg 9/10
Kobayashi 8/10
Pérez 6/10
Ricciardo 7/10
Vergne 8/10
Maldonado 4/10
Senna 5/10
Kovalainen 4/10
Petrov 7/10
de la Rosa 7/10
Karthikeyan 6/10
Glock 7/10
Pic 6/10

Also it's nice to see Karthikeyan get a well deserved 6/10 for being 2 seconds slower than his teammate in qualifying and then crashing out in the race.

What did Perez do wrong? How was he as bad as Karthikeyan? Him and di Resta should swap scores.

Ooh, it's this again <diva>

Perez should be equal to Kobayashi, unless 4th place is considered disappointing now.
di Resta should be a 7 at best.
Maldonado should be a 1 for his utter waste of a good qualifying. Grosjean should be a 0.
Karthikeyan should be a 4 at most. However, I do feel bound to point out something that slipped under the radar: his crash was because the team failed to attach a wheel nut correctly at his pitstop.

He lost his wheel causing him to spin, but he was clearly bad.

Really? If so, thanks for informing me.

My understanding – previously based entirely on what I saw – was that he put a wheel on the grass just before reaching the first point of the outside kerb, and that the wheel came off as a result of the impact, rather than being a cause of the crash.

However, I'd be happy to concede my view in light of fresh evidence.

I think Autosport must be watching different races to the ones we watch.

Either that or the prisoners have taken over the asylum.

PIC was far better than GLOCK.

SENNA was more racey and better than ROSBERG.

ALONSO only did one lap yet got an 8

oh autosport <ok>

My thanks to EMSC and tomtom for putting me right about Karthikeyan's wheel-nut. I have also heard this repeated by a colleague today.

Therefore I should offer an apology to Narain: I thought it was a (rather basic) driving error

He showed good crash management <ok>

Rosberg was awful, how he got a 6 is anyone's guess.

I thought Karth Vader had a good race in Belgium. He was right up close to his team mate PDLR and giving Kovi a good race.

Difficult to say. Glock had a superior chassis, but was badly affected by Maldonado's bizarre crash, Pic did well to stick with him but Pic was also a second and a half behind him - and behind de la Rosa - in qualifying.
