On a slightly related subject, wasn't another area of Glasgow incorporated in the same year? Partick or Shawlands or somewhere? It was somewhere West or South, I'm sure <helpful>
Oh well, if anything ever proved that Weeble is the most ignorant and pig-headed mhutant on Not606, this thread has proven it.
Because I wont accept that the word incorporate means "Govan became a part of Glasgow". Right you are Wedgey.
Yes, according to wiki, Partick was a Police burgh from 1852 until 1912 when it was incorporated into the city.
That still remains outside of the outer, outer Greater Glasgow boundary. Or, "the teuchter belt", as it's better known
I've asked you 3/4 times now to explain your interpretation of what incorporated means, yet you can't provide any sort of explanation. Guess you can't then.
"However, the people of Govan often proclaim to be Govanites first and Glaswegians second" Because they are cretins.
So, does that mean Thistle weren't a Glasgow team until they moved to Maryhill? <I'msurenobodyelsecares> Interesting - at least for the next time a Thistle fan claims they're the "original Glasgow team".
