I don't understand many Southampton supporters criticizing some of our players who helped get us back to the Premier League. Yes in time we will have to replace and improve our squad even more but it will take time to establish ourselves back in this league. So patience please. On a personal note it is great to read some praise from some real Portsmouth fans with our performances against the two Manchester giants and maybe some Southampton fans should realize if Portsmouth fans see good things in our football then things are not all that bad. But please don't get taken in by fans like Pompey-fan-in-london. All though i and other Saints fans have made genuine comments on his Lambert and Lallana for England thread, he will be using it as a total wind up. He is a moderator on the Pompey board who removes posts that argue back to comments made by Pompey fans about Southampton fc or its fans. I think we should feel very grateful that our moderators would never post things about any other opposition like this. You beat me to it SB3! I was just going to come on here and post a thread along the lines of: "SB3, you have the afternoon off today! Robin van Perfect has destroyed the Scum in Fergie Time" And I can see a similar outcome for the striped deckchairs as well- could they beat Derby's record of 11 points and one win at the end of the season, they set a few years back ?? The Scuml stay in their current position for the rest of the season . (20th) And I'd never close your threads SB3! You can do this thread again after their next game as well, Arsenal away .. a thrashing is certainly on the cards .. From possible England players to Scum. Nice

If you persist in visiting the Pompey board and heaven forbid you should ever venture into that den of evil the Snooze web site then you will read absolute dross. If I am ever tempted to visit the snooze site I put on a face mask and surgical gloves, the stuff on there is absolute poison. Stay calm and read the not606 Saints thread and you should be alright. PS most of the Pompey fans on not606 are just fine and are great blokes. There are one or two exceptions of course, one of which you have mentioned, and they don't have brains so they are on my ignore button.
I hope you can see this Godders I agree that most of the Saints and Pompey fans on here seem to get along in a civilized way with 'friendly' being the basis of banter. There will always be exceptions to that 'rule' and even the best of poster may 'fall off the wagon' on the odd occasion. As far as the snooze site is concerned, you're not the first on here to refer to the 'poisonous' comments that can be seen there. I've never visited the site and probably wont bother if the content is what I've been led to believe. What's the Echo site like? A similar vein of hatred or are posters there a little more reserved?
Like the Snooze site. Some sensible posters and some idiots. Some pompey interlopers the responses to which make me blush and I wouldn't post on here. PS As you can see I read your posting so you are not SB3s lonely companion in that little box where people get placed when they have been graded as "ignore".
A few on the Echo site are similarly demented. I no longer go on there much as it can get silly, especially at night (not always about Pompey). I think not606 is unusual amongst forums for being fairly level headed with the odd spat.

Yeah I agree the News is a bit awful in terms of comments, lots of hate and bitterness and so on and so forth. However, there are some sensible comments and sensible posters and to demonstrate that, here's a recent post which I completely agree with: "blueshirt 10:21 AM on 03/09/2012 sheffield blue you're dead right.. I agree that some people on here are more Anti-Saints than Pro-Pompey. Right now, what happens at Saints is utterly irrelevant to what happens with Pompey.... they are two divisions higher than us and currently deserve to be, so why cant Pompey fans just get on with it. If they lose all 38 games it wont make any difference to PFC, will it? so why all the hysterical venom and spite in these threads? I am a Pompey fan, THEY are my team, and frankly I couldn't care less where Saints are, who they are playing and whether they win, lose or draw. How they are doing means as little to me as how Man U, or Chelsea or Hartlepools or Scunthorpe are doing. If you reckon you are a Pompey fan, then BE a pompey fan, support Pompey and stop banging on about how "we sent the Sc****rs down", and all that rot. That was years ago now, and Pompey and saints were vastly different teams to what they are now, it's history and is quite irrelevant to circumstances today. PL I think that the silent majority would agree but it is only the noisy ones, so to speak, that are heard.
It's pretty embarrassing that the majority of Southampton chants are about Portsmouth... beating United 2-1 and immediately "Who the **** is laughing now?" and "Are you watching Pompey scum?", focusing on trying to play the "we're currently better than you!" card than directly praising their own team. I understand it's just normal football rivalry, it's just a personal annoyance.
I feel the same , sing that when we are playing them if you want to , but when we are not , what's the point ?
You right of course, but you'd probably be surprised by the amount of them that turn out at the pub to shout 'scummer' at the tele. So, for them, let it right out. Beats making no noise if you ask me.
Well the telly does get shouted at in pubs, that's why I watch at home. I expect different tellys will get shouted at when Pompey are on it, which won't be often, let's face it. I suspect those who sing about their rivals more than their own, in both camps, are secret telly pub shouters.
