Yeah... I'm not convinced he would play for only 30k a year.

Don't think he works hard enough to meet what BR looks for.

Don't think he has 15 goals in him.

That said, if he were cheap (and the best option)... swallow the pride and play him as needed until January.

Hate to have him back... would not want to see him in a LFC top again... but if he were seriously the best option... do it.... I just happen to think he is NOT the best option left.

What would be funnier would be if we sign him on a pay-per-appearance basis... but never used him.

Just do an image search for Michael Owen lifting the PL trophy and then tell me you still want him to sign.

    No I wouldn't.

But are we going to cut our noses off to spite our face? ...

Personally, I would take him IF I believed he still had it in him to score the goals. Problem is, I don't have that confidence him.

I would rather give the chance to Morgan - someone who wears the shirt with pride and passion and will give it his all. He's quick, constantly on the move and is good technically.

He probably wasn't on the bench because he wasn't picked as a substitute... :p

Think he wasn't due to international commitments, Sterling played out of necessity. Only reason I can think of, apart from Rodgers making a point to Ayre and FSG.

I guess all in all... Morgan is the big winner in this. He will get to play more first team games earlier and get his name known earlier to the masses as a result.

Morgan is no doubt silently happy about this situation.

Or he gets brought in too soon and he struggles and it smashes his confidence?

At least it will give those who need a scapegoat someone else to blame though eh <ok>

Meh, if it does it's no loss, I understand easing in for injury sake but if he's the kind of player that loses confidence easily or isn't spurred on by lack of form (and chooses to sulk instead) then we're better off instead. Fed up of the "he's lacking in confidence" excuses *cough* Downing *cough* as if he needs nursing like a baby

I'd rather stab myself in the bollo%s with a rusty fork whilst sucking on a PP3 battery, than see that little sh?te come back and put on a Liverpool shirt again.

He's a talented young lad who doesn't deserve to be thrown to the wolves because of the sheer incompetence of others. You're happy if he comes in too early and we ruin him then? That'll be sure to help us attract the best youth players won't it <ok>

That assumes kids learn from the experience of others. If they did 17 year olds wouldn't keep knocking up other 17 year olds and getting tattoos of a heart with "I love Shenaqua" on it... and from then on out can only date girls named Shenaqua.

Kids and teenagers with a dream are eternal optimists that know it will all work out fine for them.

Hopefully we won't screw up Morgan... but if we do... it wouldn't stop other kids with a dream of succeeding... they would see themselves the next Sterling... not the next Morgan.

Besides... trust Rodgers knows what he is doing with kids so won't come to that...

Oh btw... anyone know any single girls named Shenaqua that arnt too ugly? Thanks.

Fair point but remember kids of academy age have parents who have a say as well. It doesn't stop them dreaming but these lads often have a choice of club a, b or c. If (and I'm not saying we will do this just answering the point that it doesnt matter if we ruin a few lads careers) we were to start over exposing and ruining careers of younger players then we would start to get a pretty bad rep thus the best kids will choose another club instead and fulfill their dreams elsewhere.

Ps...my missus is called Shenaqua but you can't have her because of this damn tattoo I got when drunk one night....

I've posted an article on why I feel Michael Owen should not ever wear a Liverpool shirt. I stand by it.

Michael Owen would need to be the thickest **** on this earth to even consider it. He can't not comprehend the fact that he has operated a scorched earth policy, as he has moved from club to club, making it impossible for him to return to anywhere he has been before. If the ignorant Welsh **** doesn't expect chants of Judas, and to be booed by his own fans every time he touches the ball, he must have the IQ of a dandelion.
