Honestly mate there's no way they'll give him ten months nevermind ten years. The worst thing for me is that if he struggles due to lack of funds they'll just sack him. If he by some miracle succeeds they'll take the credit when they deserve none. As always I will turn up week in and week out and support my manager and my team and pray to god BR can work miracles. However I do it more and more with a heavy heart knowing deep down that my hard earned is going into the coffers of these people.
Very true, I think last Friday could very well have cost Brendan his job. And it's not even his failure.

In all fairness, it shows something that he felt he ought to write an open-letter to the fans. Believe me, they owe nothing to us and do not need to explain themselves to us. They own the club, not us. Even though many of you feel that football isn't a business, it is, and it's theirs, and as long as FSG aren't damaging the institution like H&G did then they really don't need to explain themselves to be quite frank.
Well not on here that's for sure. He did however get a standing ovation when he came on against City...from the whole ground. That might just tell you something about what the faithful thought of him (and how he was being treated).
Im sure AC will be crying into his piles of cash as a result. It's football ffs, He'll get over it. BR never slagged him off in public and in all fairness shouldn't have to accommodate the signings of the previous regime. AC will do well at West Ham, or even for us - but not if BR's still in charge with the type of football he wants us to play.
Except treat people like customers more than fans long enough and that's all you'll have. And customers don't get treated badly and stick around for some more of the same. Customers don't keep paying money for something unrecognisable to what they "bought" into. Now I'm not saying this is what FSG has done but there has to be a balance. We've already seen what happens when owners dream big & ignore the detail. Well it's just as damaging to think business only when your business is entertainment. If its soulless and in unentertaining then no new customer base. The old "fans" die off; the ones who think its more than a business, the ones that place loyalty & tradition above immediate success and you're left with...customers.

In all fairness nothing FSG have said has ever intimated that they have been after immediate success. You say we're not customers but listen to the board! Well here's a suggestion then...be a bit more flexible and don't believe you can instill a whole new ethos overnight (not that it actually is a whole new ethos). Utilise what you have instead of throwing the baby out with the bath water I watched West Ham at the weekend. Played some good football and some direct stuff too (not hoofball though...played it up to Andy and got men around him in support). Worked pretty well for them eh. No doubt someone will now say I'm asking for Fat Sam to take the job We on the other hand played one way against Arsenal and it was so predictable even Diaby looked like a world beater. Of course it will take time to instill a new philosophy...but does that mean we just accept getting twatted all season "while the players adjust"? No BR never slagged him off in public. He actually praised his attitude and commitment...as he was booting him out of the door.
