Ba wants to score too much. He seems to want to prove a point that he's better than Cisse. Cisse on the other hand is feeding on scraps and doesn't quite have the confidence since he hasn't scored in a while.

I'm starting to watch games hoping Ba gets injured forcing pardews hand. Last season Shola and Cisse looked like a much better partnership.

It's quite simple....they don't work together because they are to similar.....

Having said that cabaye was quite dimply awful yesterday..... He can't cross a ball for toffee.

I don't think its about one being better than the other or one being greedier than the other. For all those writing Ba off, he scored 16 goals last season!

I think its a case of not really knowing what their roles are. Pardew is trying to keep them both happy by playing a 4,2,2 but now Ba is dropping deeper and wider and that means there's no link up between the two.

Also, Cabaye has given them very little and we don't break with enough pace!

Highly likely and most probably has also been left wondering why we could not sign his friend Debuchy, who was desperate to come !
Promises whispered in his ear plus a little disappointment - equals him being less than motivated.
Agree that sticking to a 4-4-2 in order to let certain players play where they prefer is not going to make them or the fans happy in the long run.
Pardew may have to break some promises made ? In order to get the flow back into our game.
At the end of the day that is what he is paid to do, manage and motivate the team.

Sadly this seems to be the case, both similar thinkers on the pitch, which means they are both trying to run into the same channels and occupy the same space.
Pardew will need to sort this, even if it means upsetting somebody.

Be careful what you wish for BAR, let's just hope that Pardew grows a pair and sorts this mess out ASAP.

This shouldn't be a shock. I might be wrong, but I don't think they have ever started together for Senegal cos they are seen as both filling the same position. Looks like AP has some work to do re-creating a system that works. Shouldn't be hard though as we all already know what that system is. If anyone don't like it then we cn sell on and replace. The club is bigger than any player. That said, I don't think we should under-estimate this squad's ability to play for each other and do the right thing.
