After watching the Arsenal and Liverpool game this afternoon, I don think I would be too far off saying one club looked top 4 material and the other bottom 4. Arsenal have totally controlled the game all afternoon and that away from home. Liverpool just look like a lost team of individuals, struggling to mount any kind of attacking threat. Suarez is more isolated than a North Korean arms dealer and Gerrard is not the force he once was and that's Liverpool's problem. He has been the backbone of this Liverpool team for 7 or 8 years on his own but a combination of injuries and age are starting to show now and he is a yard slower and far less influential but still their best attacking player other than the young lad Sterling on the wing, who has been good. I don't know where Liverpool go from here as they have us away and Man Utd at home in their next 2 games and I'd fancy our chances at home and certainly Man Utd's at Anfield, which would leave them with 1 point from 5 games and already in huge trouble. If Suarez or Gerrard were to get injured, I seriously would have Liverpool in a relegation fight. Arsenal look top 4. Liverpool closer to bottom 4 than top 4 imo.
dont write stevie g off he is quality and weve got them nxt wk! so not gona jinx us in saying were gona win but i reakon weve got a good chance.
Get them beach balls ready lads if we do beat them the dippers fans will be a little nicked off to say the least. Know a couple of them and they say that he will be out of a job by Xmas and they are fairly mellow lads.
Like most people I believe there is a top 3. The Manchesters & Chelsea. After that it is a free for all with imo about 5 or 6 clubs who have a chance of getting that 4th spot.
Liverpool are not a bottom 4 team. They aren't doing to well like, and will stuggle to be top 10 imo My bottom 4 Southampton reading villa qpr Pressure will be on Rodgers when we beat them next week like
Bin dippers think they have a divine right to be top 4 champions league material, wake up here's your coffee
I think Arsenal are well capable of being comfortable top 4, and when this Giroud gets going they will have a pretty good attacking unit and defensively, they looked very good today as well. Sheik City, Chelski, Utd and Arsenal are way out in front for those European Champions League places imo.
I would love to see L pool outside the top 10, can't see it happening but it would make my season. Agree with Roger, it would be a wake up call which is what they need.
If Liverpool had either Gerrard or Suarez injured, they would be absolutely knackered. They were so ordinary today I think most teams will play them without any fear or reserve. Attack them and they will fold like a pack of cards and they don't have much attacking threat if you keep a hold of the 2 best players. They are a 10th/11th team imo and if they suffer a couple of key injuries, maybe worse.
Liverpool's issue more than anything is their refusal to accept that Suarez isn't a 25 goal striker. He scored what 11 last year, not good enough for a top 10 team never mind top 4. I also think they've dealt themselves a huge blow releasing Carroll and not replacing him and obviously Lucas will be sorely missed as he offers something that none of the others can. They are in big trouble and players like Jonjo Shelvey aren't going to get them out of it. I have no sympathy for a badly managed team.
I can see us finishing above Liverpool, Spurs, Villa, Newcastle, Wigan etc. TOP 4 Man c Chelsea, Man u Arsenal. Bottom 4 Villa QPR Soton Reading
Should give young Allen a mention, I thought he was teriffic, the one bright light for them so far. We could do with a CM like him.
