I do seem to remember her asking me many moons ago whether I considered her to be one of my chattels - to which I replied no. My big mistake was to add that I understood the term goods and chattels to mean animate and inanimate objects - I was immediately accused of viewing her as part of my goods.

Evening all, been watching an awful lot of TV lately. This life of sitting around does not suit me very much. 10 days completed and 50 to go. I don't complain because there is an end to it when I can throw the crutches away and park the wheelchair. Having seen the paralympics I am reminded that some will never get the use of their limbs back. Speaking of the paralympics I do think that the Channel 4 coverage is pretty grim. Yesterday evening I timed the actual events and there was three minutes between adverts. Can't say that some of the presenters are up to much either. Whoops starting to complain.

I hate the adverts between paralympics too M Frenchie, though i have to admit, i don't have a problem with the presenters..especially Claire Balding...though some of the interviewers are a bit bad...some classic questions being asked like "what will you do with your medal?" - that was today's gem. There was an even more bonkers question the other day but sadly i can't remember what it was..
If any of you go to Budapest, you must go to the Dohany Synagogue. Even as a non-Jew, I appreciated what a fantastic building it is - no pictures could do it justice. I also found the guide who did the tour was very good.
Morning all, bright and sunny here with the temperature heading back up into the 30Cs again this week. Mme Lebon made a flying visit this morning as one of the other people she visits has been taken really ill overnight and needed her attention far more than I do. All of a sudden it has become very quiet in our hamlet. There are several houses owned by Brits used for holidays, and over the past few weeks there have been children riding bikes and playing in the lane. There are also a number of French children who come to stay with grand parents for three or four weeks during the summer. All of a sudden they have returned to their homes to start another school year.

Got home yesterday evening and there wasn't any paperwork from pie's new school. Phoned him earlier to find out if any had arrived at his mum's house (wasn't going to call last night, the ferry they were on wasn't due to arrive until 10.20) and there wasn't any paperwork there either. He's supposed to be starting at the school on Weds so this is worrying.
