I would LOVE someone who simply went to the football, didnt talk to anyone else, didn't even cheer when city scored and looked thoroughly depressed during the whole match like the two gentlemen sat next to me in the south stand half of last year to come on. I want to go to a kc where every fan is Passionate about hull city. Not just seat fillers
it is a fantastic view from West Upper, but i'm not bothered what people choose to do or sit. Rather enjoy myself than sit moaning that the West Stand isn't making any noise
At the end of the day they've paid their money to be there, which is better than not bothering at all, atleast the club gets their money from ticket sales. Besides, i'd rather some people sat in silence than spend the whole match shouting idiotic comments and belittling the players which unfortunatley is usually the type of person i end up bloody sat near. Not everybody is up for singing and shouting, but it doesn't mean they support the team any less.
I had to sit for 2 seasons next to some man with 2 kids (who wasn't interested in the slightest about football) shouting abuse towards the players and telling them what they should and shouldn't be doing..by the looks of him he wouldn't last 2 minutes on the pitcch himself...does my tits in!
E2 standing for 90 with the ulltras on top form next to me, three goals and three points all whilst ragging that chump and his bird in the bolton end, great atmosphere, happy days
Yes we all have our moments do you remember this ****e! "Cheesy Wotsits ! They are back to they're their stinking stick to your teeth i need a wet wipe best ! Our lassie, got a a multi pack from sainsbury's(Jacko's) today and they are just like they they used to be. Not like them anaemic tasteing health and safety jobs theyv'e been poisoning us with for the last ten years ! Lovely !!!"
That bloke, his mate and that bird in the middle were piss funny. Singing "do you take it up the arse?" to the lass and her boyfriend/ husband just nodding in agreement with us, grinning and giving us the thumbs up was a funny moment from saturday. The drunk bloke's gestures were hilarious.
The atmosphere Saturday was completely different to any home game for the past couple of years, there were loads of new songs, the atmosphere was good from the start but when Bolton scored it just picked up a few notches. I also noticed there were a few more flags up the top of E2/3 than before, would be good to have them all over the stadium. Could something like: http://www.wrlbrigantes.moonfruit.com/#/who-are-we/4549838810 work at the KC?
Does any one feel that the seating is from back to front not on acute enough angle, or is that because of regulations. I have been to a few games in Holland were the seating is more up right, so even the seats at the back are closer to the playing surface, and you get a much more intense atmosphere?
Went in west upper once .. Hated it ... Was like being in a morgue / coma. E3 for me sat on back of seat top row and singing as I did when I was 13 in the Kempton.. 56 and I still get ****ing searched every game but at least they don't make me take my 18 hole docs off like they use to.. You must be getting old Mel if you like it up in west upper
Dean sat with me and a few others second half of Brighton game and I'm suprised about his swear in front of a woman comment. Trace was with us and she makes more noise than 10 ultras and her language would make Blackbeard The Pirate blush. Great day out it was
"You must be getting old Mel if you like it up in west upper" I actually said to my Brother in Law "I feel old". The fact is that I did enjoy it as there was nothing not to enjoy. BUT, if the view was not as good, or if the football was not as good as it was, then that may be a different situation. I am as vocal as any at away matches, but I did not even stand up for the third goal! In the future I will try to bring some more noise into the area, I'll start with a quick "commmm on uuuu uuuulllll" and gradually introduce a "stand up if your Hull City" at Half Time just as they get up to go out for a pie!
That's because it was an exciting game. It works both ways, the players have to lift the fans the same as the fans have to lift the players. If we start to score more goals and win the atmosphere will improve.
I agree, hit helps when the players put a shift in. Thought the fans were better in the 1st half when Bolton had scored and were on top. Usually it's "oh we've conceded, bollocks to this" and then the players and manager gets slagged off. There was more encouragement before we got back into the game. Didn't think much of the Bolton fans, except for the three people i mentioned above.
The couple out of them were stood outside the North Stand at the top of the drive up from Walton Street. Thought it was a bit weird since they left early, guess their driver had stayed in til the end.
