Ok, lets have a pop at predicting the top ten at the end of the season. Should make for some healthy conversation.

    1 - City
    2 - Chelski
    3 - Utd
    4 - ARSEnal
    5 - Spurs
    6 - Swansea
    7 - scum
    8 - Everton
    9 - Us
    10 - West Brom

I would love for us to finish higher and I may be dreamin about L pool not finishing in the top ten, but its a starter and meant to generate some good conversation.

Had us in 5th originally based on the fact that we are unbeaten and haven't played our best yet, delusional or what, lol.

I think a RVP led Man Utd will finish above Chelski personally. Tha was an awesome hat trick today and it should have been 4? He already has 4 league goals in 3 games and looks on fire. If he bangs in 30 goals this year Utd wont be far off the title imo.

Would put Swansea below us, but a fair prediction otherwise.

Mind you, lets hope either the Toons luck deserts them or they get found out.

Cest, RVP will have an amazing season. I just think Utd are weaker at the back than previous season and that will cost them.

BBP, I can't help thinking Swansea are gonna have a good season. Like I said, I would love for us to finish higher but I just don't see it. We have too many ordinary games to become a top 6-8 team.

    1. United - RVP will help them there. I think they will show dominance over City
    2. City - They'll get to 2nd just above Chelsea
    3. Chelsea
    4. Arsenal - Not an amazing start, goals wise, but I think they'll clinch 4th.

    5/6th - Spurs/ Toon

    7/8th/9th - Swansea/Everton/Sunderland

I can't decide in which order those groups come in.

    Liverpool 10th lol

Agree with most tash I just think ourselves or Everton will finish above spurs. Not saying 5/6th mind. Just think AVB will struggle again.

No, just no. And replace Everton and Spurs, shift everyone up one and put the Swans 10th

Liverpool despite a bad start will make top 10.

If we can make 10 we will have done well. 5th? Far too early to say. I think our lack of strength in depth will keep us from the higher places. Who knows about January.

Let's see the table after 10 games. We have some tough games coming up. Liverpool and City in the next three!

    Mackem Rule Rules

Top 4 ok not bothered 1 place up or down - though it will be close - the status quo may just, and I mean just, hold this season.
However thereafter is anybodies guess, yours is as good as mine.
and mine is is that if Everton for the first time in many seasons continue with their good start will be a force to be reckoned with - as will Spurs, even though they are in the middle of a transition.
Watch out for us and WBA, I think that old saggyface is not far off when he predicts good things for us once we bed in.
But our dark brethren from the Tyne - I predict a large backward step for two reasons.
1 their involvement i Europe (I'm sooooo envious)
2 but mainly because of their non-strengthening of the squad this close-season.
    Stand still = go backwards
We shall see in 8/9 months time lol

I can see the whole Liverpool thing going either way. They may suddenly get the Rogers project and start playing for him or they could just all stand round looking like lost souls as they did today and Rogers will be sacked.

Throw in an injury to Gerrard or Suarez and they will be in a right pan ****e.

I am generally a negative person when it comes to league placings. However, for funsies, this is my prediction.

    1) Man Utd
    2) Man City
    3) Arsenal
    4) Chelsea
    5) Everton
    6) Spurs
    7) Liverpool
    8) Newcastle
    9) Sunderland
    10) Swansea

I think you guys could get top 6 if your signings gel. Fletcher certainly made a good start at proving me wrong however your defence seemed awry considering how good it was last season! For us, we could just as easily slip out the top 10 as we could in making the top 4. My negativity suggests we will be nearer 10th than 4th though.

Chelsea and spurs may do the usuall (3-6th), but i reckon both manager could be gone by January. Arsenal look solid at the back and could sneak in 3rd. Everton have started well and are my shout for 4th.

IMO the rest of the top 10 could be from anyone else

except villa (didn't see them today ), who have been woeful so far. Fingers crossed eh?

What was the game like today QWOP? Sounds like a real end to end and either could have won it. Saw Arfa's goal and it was a bit special....again. Looks like he is your main boy this year.

Probably the closest I've seen to my expectations, but it's really far too early to make any meaningful predictions.

I have no idea. I was dragged to a family gathering so I missed the match. Disappointed with a point though. 442 is not the formation for us. If we continually play it, you will easily finish above us this season. I have seen the Barfa goal. He is someone truly special. We are lucky to have him HOWEVER can we keep him. I dare say, not at this rate.
