Ahhhhhhhh yes I've been having this problem since Wednesday, kicking me off every 15 minutes until the full offline bug kicked in while I was playing GT5. This is why you pay for gold membership with XBL because they have teams to sort this out within hours compared to a couple of days like we are seeing now.
Tbh... *looks left, looks right for Microsoft lawyers* They could of "wink wink" tell a few people how to do it for a bit of friendly competiton. Or it could just be a bunch of hackers wanting to get some street cred. Give credit to Playstation though, it's taken them this long to do it since it's console release, where as hackers hit XBL within a year of it's release.
Apparently it is Anon, they have a bit on youtube about it (i'll try to find it) Ive also heard it is some microsoft geniuses who are trying to get people to hack into Sony's database (wouldnt surprise me) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYBPBeM7gZ8&feature=related
Anonymous released a statement to say they are not responsible for the PSN attacks, which they reiterated in that Youtube message. It's hard to believe that given their attacks on Sony but it's not like they don't accept responsibility for the attacks they do initiate. It couldn't be Sony themselves hoping to turn public opinion against Anon, could it?
One of them comments actually worried me. Credit card details. If it is hackers, and Sony havent said that none has been taken. Theres a chance it might. I have spent ã150 in the last week apparently when I can noly remember ã100
If it has been hacked than anyone who has their card details saved on the psn system could be at risk, especially as they cannot log on to delete it. But surely PSN would have announced this. Im guessing they're doing a massive update or enhancing the security of PSN. Im cool with it as theres plenty of good single player games, plus the weather has been great
Ahhh, its times like this I can actually be satisfied by paying for XBL whenever the PSN looked like the same shizzle to me but for free. Still doesn't quell my constant spamming of forums crying out for dedicated servers (especially for COD and Halo games) because well im back to playing MW2 as the lag and off hit registration in BlackOps rendered online almost unplayable.
So Sony have finally come clean and told everyone they got hacked. Now it would be nice if they let us back in so we could check what cards and details we have registered. I feel a court case coming on over their management of the whole affair.
