Mush we have had discussions on this before.
And you know I was all for letting them get bored.
I have even started threads with the deliberate intention of luring them in, to keep them out of proper SAFC threads.
I have no problem with Mags posting here, I have no problem them taking the piss.

I do have a problem when I can't read my own board because of numerous posts by these same obsessed individuals.

The reason I asked for them to be evicted, in the thread I started, was so they would understand it was me and my reasons for doing so. (So I apologise for not PMing you first!)

May I suggest, when individuals whoever they are, are constantly disrupting threads they be given a warning and use the 3 strikes and your out rule.

And no I'm not talking about drive by wummings, but constant and deliberate disruption.

I see ***** power is winning over once more <doh> cest seems to think tracking IPs is the be all and end all of dealing with the "problem", the fandan has yet to hear of a proxy it would seem.

However once more the mackems demonstrate themselves as the most insular fans known to man with a massive victim complex to boot. I apportion it to the inferiority complex, but that is understandable after all.

Just telling it like it is cest. At the start you annoyed me but it quickly became apparent what a pathetic approximation of a person you actually were. I initially felt pity but now its moving on to simple amusement

Well I've been for years (old bbc606)an occasional contributor an avid reader of the SAFC board. Have thought on occasions some of of our more respected correspondents have reacted over zealously - however I really feel compelled to defend, especially, Cest when it comes to his initial response to the thread we are all referring to. And if I had been logged on earlier I would have been even more vitriolic in my first reply. AMBAON was so obvious as to be almost embarrassing - yet he would not leave go - a simple wum would have been happy with the post and the response and left. I am amazed at the frenzied feeding this guy embarked upon, I really fear for his self image that he continued and continued. People like him end up doing some damage either to themselves (at best) or others - witness Anders Bering Breivik. I really feel this mag poster needs help.
However, because I am not in the front line daily I do feel, for example if this insidious post, this really rotten wind up had been truly IGNORED this whole saga and this sad, sad person would not have had his fix not to say fixes as we responded.
I know, god knows I know how hard it is to disregard ****ty slights, I've reacted myself (in real life situations).
After these three sad and I really feel sad for these posters are moderated can I ask our 'White Knights' FFS hop over their posts/articles - try just try and imagine their chagrin, disappointment and irritation at being COMPLETELY (that means everybody) ignored, BY GOD it would really hit where it hurts - their ego.
    Rant over.
But having said all that ben the b*****ds.

I've been happily adding mags to my ignore list for the last couple of days - should make some of the threads a bit more readable ! Problem is some threads will just end up being a successsion of ignored postings from the skunks and when people quote their posts in reply I end up seeing what they've posted anyway !!

I generally just ignore them but it is a growing problem of half-witted skunks merely spoiling every thread on here. The argument for free speach on a multi team site I can understand but some are just intent on causing arguments and destroying every thread !

Maybe the best tactic would be just to ignore every post by these muppets and not answer at all - c'mon lads just try it ! If people don't bite or reply to them they'll quickly get bored !

could care less, people being banned for thie simple fact this board houses some of the most pathetic insular posters on the entire forum. Rather than banning people why not terminate the account of the source of all of it, the same fella who obviously wants his account euthanised anyway judging by his repeated "im leaving this forum" cry for attention threads <ok>

But on YOUR board, your mods remove threads & comments if they are even slightly anti-Toon.

I assume this is due to the request of your posters, as the mods are top lads.

Delete the WUM threads then, you seem gluttons for punishment in letting them go on so long. Lock the non WUM threads that have got out of hand anyway (JWAGs was not a WUM thread), but dont start banning people because some posters on this forum decided they wanted to add fuel to the fire and got their fingers burned

The 2 people who have been banned to day have been prolific in wumming this board for several months, we have been incredibly leniant as mods, as this is an adult forum.

Once there is NO constructive posting within the wummage, then what's the point?

Obertan remains unbanned as he does contribute to the actual football talk, on occasion.

Being on this board throughout home games, televised games etc, just goes to prove that someone is only on the forum for one purpose.

Each to their own but I find ignoring and closing off the alleyways of wumming far more effective. If the person want to spend the time creating a WUM thread let them, then immediately lock it and ignore it. After a while of this treatment the person is bound to tire of his efforts bearing no fruit.

I will extrapolate this into an old saying to try and give you some analogy.

"Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime"

    so

"Ban a person for wumming and you will be free from wumming for a matter of hours/days, make a person tire of wumming and you will be free from it for a lifetime" <ok>

Very sensible suggestion, well made, and yeah, I think I'll go with this.

Personally, I'm in agreement that JWAG's thread yesterday wasn't INITIALLY a pure WUM attempt, sadly some people made it into one.
