so now the window is closed we have no rumors to talk about how about we get to know each other. Like why you started supporting the r'ss and what was your first match you want to?

I will start it off my whole family are Rangers fans, and my first game i went to was my dad taking me to the league cup match against Millwall in the 93/94 season with my uncle as well who is a Millwall fan. Rangers running out 3-0 winners and that's how it all started i used to save my school dinner money and buy qpr tickets instead at the end of the week.

Born in Paddington, my older brother is a Fulham fan (I wasn't having any of that!) Went to my first game age 12 in January 1968. We beat Preston 2-0 (Marsh 2) in the old second division. Hooked from that day on!

My grandfather, born in Paddington 1889 was a life-long R's fan, as was my dad, an only child. In the 1920's & 1930's the two of them used to go to most of the home games together.

I was brought up in Hampshire, and I recall my first R's game was when my dad brought me down to Bournemouth, around 1967, and we got to enjoy Rod..........nee together.

Strong Paddington connection here, born in St Mary's and lived in Marylebone. Uncle was a fanatic and I started following the Rs in 1966. Went to first match Oct 68 v Man Ure lost 2-3...

I was at that game! Les Ferdinand scored a hatrick and the millwall fans threw bananas at him. There were some American tourists sat behind me in the south africa road stand come to see some 'soccer' and they were so scared they left at half time: 'my god they're animals' was the line I remember.

I'm beginning to think it's a very small world! I went to Paddington Green primary, and then onto Rutherford. Anyone else?

Oh alright. Though of course I hate talking about myself.

First QPR match: v Brighton at the Goldstone Ground. Year suppressed on grounds I could not possibly be that old. But I can confirm I'm not old enough ever to have enjoyed Rod...nee in person. First home game v Arsenal.

Why I started supporting the Rs: Came out as a fan at age of 7 (football virgin; no previous allegiance). I'll not deign to comment on the rumour that it was because they had "queen" in their name. Suffice it to say I've always had a nose for talent, flair and sophistication!

Favourite current player: Alejandro Faurlin. Not for any very unsavoury reason, although...

    Favourite QPR icon: Stan Bowles

Favourite manager other than Mark Hughes: Umm, would be invidious to have favourites but El Tel gets a mention

Rangers in the family: I corrupted my baby brother into support. He would doubtless wish me to say we do not always share the same tastes.

Shameful secret: I don't dislike Chelsea

Memorable "I was there" moment: Sinclair's overhead goal

Beyond Rangers: ah, there's a whole new thread there. Though to dampen your appetite, I can exclusively reveal that the celebrity I am most frequently mistaken for is Mr Bean. Though obviously I am much YOUNGER and BETTER LOOKING. My favourite colour apart from blue-0and-white is imperial purple with pink highlights liberally sprinkled with glitter. Oh, and did I mention I am Voldemort's cousin?

Like some of you guys above, I was also born in St Mary's and brought up in Brukner Street...

I went to my first game at three weeks old, just a babe in arms.

Since then both of my kids are now rangers fans, not that they had a choice, I took them to every home game before we moved across the other side of the world...

We just had to win because our G/D was way better than the other team. Palace didn't go down, they finished mid-table.

Can't remember the whole team mate but Kiwomya scored a hat-trick. Memorable game indeed, good choice.

    Think we should all answer a few questions here - so QPR Queen has a good set of them, here is my answers;

First QPR match: home v Colchester in december 2003. We won 2-0 and I was instantly hooked. Remember watching Gallen who was my first fav player from the SA road stand.

Why I started supporting the Rs: I hated football until I was 12 and then got sucked in by the 02 World Cup. Remember watching Eng v Brazil at school in the early hours with a bacon roll! Started supporting the Rss when my dad took me to my first game and was hooked straight away. I was born in Sussex and have lived down here always, but my parents are from the area and supported QPR, but hadnt been in a number of years until 2003, have been going ever since and ST holders for 5 or so seasons now.

Favourite current player: on his day Taarabt as he gets the crowd off the seats and literally makes me laugh at some of the outrageous skills. Other than him Mackie for his passion.

Favourite QPR icon: Kevin Gallen - obviously havent seen the likes of Bowles etc.. so my earliest 'icon' was Gallen.

Favourite manager other than Mark Hughes: Ollie or De Canio - ollie for keeping the club going in the dark dark days and de canio for the brand of football.

Rangers in the family: Proud to say we are all Rangers. Makes for good conversation!

Shameful secret: I have been to a few egg chasing games notably London Wasps!

Memorable "I was there" moment: other than SWP scoring v Wycombe in a pre season game? Quite vividly remember two games - QPR 4-2 Palace - living in Sussex I have alot of Palace supporting people around us! Was probably my first london derby win and three goals were scored at the loft end where I am a ST holder. Other one is 4-2 away at watford when they were flying high at the top and we went there under de canio and thrashed them. And cant forget the watford game when we secured promotion! Amazing!

Beyond Rangers: as the name suggests I am a brown belt in judo and also a qualified coach. just completed an architecture degree and on my way to getting industry experience.

That's right, we poleaxed them. Who was that other team? One of Crewe, Grimsby or City I'm guessing.

First QPR match: I really can't remember, but it would have been sometime in the late 70s, I think.

Why I started supporting the Rs: Carshalton born. My uncle was a Palace fan, my dad a Gooner and my mum a Spur (although she couldn't give a toss about footie, really). So it was a natural choice as the Rs had a good team at the time.

Favourite current player: Still Taarabt, but it's starting to be a choice based on sentiment and nostalgia, rather than on the basis of what he's giving the team these days. I suspect it won't be long before it's Granero. Always been a huge fan of Faurlin too.

Favourite QPR icon: Stan no contest, although Tony Currie, Clive Allen, Sir Les, Dave Thomas, Simon Stainrod and Glenn Roeder remain in my affections.

Favourite manager other than Mark Hughes: The Terry Venables era was great, but I've always felt we were hard done by when he left for Barca. There was such potential there that was left unrealised. Have to say Dave Sexton therefore. Also hold Ollie in high regard.

Rangers in the family: Tried to get Uber Minor and Uber Minor II interested, but they're both more interested in superheroes.

Shameful secret: Not for this site.

Memorable "I was there" moment: I remember two drubbings we dished out to Boro and Burnley back in the early 80s.

Beyond Rangers: I make a lot of money for other people who don't appreciate it sufficiently.

Is that nearby to my dad's streets? I recall dad telling me as a lad, going out for a "pennyworth of stale" at the local bakery - likely explains his dentures - he was terrified of the dentist, but made sure us kids visited for all our appointments.
