Just got back, from a different "home" game. This was Hull City but not as I know it!

First let me explain that I moved seats from the South Stand to the West Upper7. It was my first chance to get home for a game as well.

To be honest I am overjoyed at the seat that I have. The whole dymanic of watching the game has changed and it takes some getting used to. For once I am watching live play from nearly the same view as when on TV. Even the sound is the same as it is completely silent where I sit and the noise comes completely from in front of me instead of around. Quite bizarre. No ****ing swearing! All I need is a live stream to watch the replays and I've cracked it. Different class of person in the West Stand. Even the flasks are posher! These folks around me don't queue at the Post Office come pension day, they have bank accounts, I know it takes some believing but, it's a fact, the section that I am sitting in is sponsored by co-op funerals. I watched in utter amazement as a couple unpacked Laura Ashley seat cushions!

I also had a worry about Brices Direct football and that has evaporated.

Great weekend and I now relish the rest of the season.

Something annoys me about that post and I'm not sure what. Enjoy the season :)

My point is that I have a great seat, great view and watched a great win. But it's different, very very quite and older supporters, not a compliant, just an observation that's all. No kids, no replica shirts, no banter, no singing and my match day experience has changed.

The West Upper was fantastic, that's where I used to sit when I lived in Hull.

The South Stand has no swearing OR atmosphere anymore since it was made the Family Stand. I might have to make the full circle of the KC; starting off in the West when I was a kid, moving to South last few years and now moving to East, as it's the only part with any atmosphere anymore (except for the 20 people in the NW corner)!

Plus; give me a true City fan over the posh gits any day. This is probably why I'll end up making more away games than home this year!

Exactly what part of someone's perceived social standing makes a person a "true" fan or not? This sort of reverse classism is plain idiotic. I'm sure you would be more than happy for one of those "posh gits" to come on here and exclaim that they would take sitting with the true fans over those working class scum in the east stand.

And before you ask, I am from east hull and have sat/stood in the east stand/kempton since 10.

It very much comes down to your age I think, I started watching City when I was 10 years old and through being 35-40 I would be in the south stand at BP sing and shouting with the rest. How I am in my sixties I just want to go and enjoy the game, discuss things with who I go with and celebrate when we score.

If you're not in the East stand you're not a proper fan.

    Everyone knows that.

Prawn sandwich eating, tartan blanketed, flask loving pretenders can all **** off. I don't want them at the ground. West Stand ****ers.

I'd rather there was just four thousand in the East Stand.

Sorry but that is absolute bollocks. Those in the West stand have every right being there. The fact that they dont make much of an atmosphere is their choice. Leave that top us all in the East stand. Are you seriously saying that you want the whole of the West stand empty. Bloody great way of ruining the match experience. I saw enough of that when they closed the Kepton side of the ground at BP. What utter nonsense.

Sorry fella's I was being sarcastic.

I sit in the West Stand.

    All this
' I sit in the East Stand so I'm a proper fan ' is absolute bollocks.
Last time I went in the East Stand ( Forest first season back in the Championship) I had a massive barny with some clown behind me and that was before the game had even started.

Anyway, yes it was tongue in cheek.

I stood in E3 against Brighton ( first half ) Stood because the ignorant ****er's in front of me were stood! Moved in second half ( the game as we all know wasn't sold out, Every cloud! )

I normally go in the upper west because the view is great and you don't have to listen to idiots shouting a load of ****, I swear all day at work but when someone is shouting "****" in front of women it makes me cringe.

Some of the folks in the west are pretty reserved but it suits me better.

It's different that's all. It's not better or worse just different. Actually I did notice that some of the most influential club supporters ( OHCSC & HCSSC ) where sat close by.

The East Stand atmosphere deteriorated after relegation from the Premier League IMO. But and quite understandably after the 3rd goal, the Circle was rocking!

Hopefully that performance proves to many of the fans, that this Season is going to be a lot better in front of goal and we get a more positive response in relation to the atmosphere and getting a 'Promotion feeling' around the Club.
