If MH had been Manager at the end of last August, after only a week with the knowledge he had funds available, I wouldn't have been at all surprised if he'd have brought in Ferdinand. But then MH only goes where there are funds on the table, so he would never have been our Manager then. Park is an engine I agree, but so is Granero but he did far more with the ball yesterday than Park has in 3 games. Adel is the man for creativity.
Totally. He allowed himself get sucked into a season-long debacle last year when someone with a bit of common sense would have nipped it in the bud. Spot on re Tarbs, Traore and SWP as well. Although to be fair to Phillips he seems like an honest enough chap. The other two are a pair of over-paid brats.
Not sure calling Taarabt an over paid brat is going to go down too well, time to reach for the tin hat I think!
Bang on, Os. To be honest, I've yet to get carried away by Park's performances on the pitch for the Rs. Only 3 games in, so happy to be patient. But I thought Granero looked good, great vision and tried to make some things happen. Not sure how he and Taarabt can play in the same eleven, so will be interesting to see how that pans out.
Just for clarity's sake, I was not referring to the Terry saga, which was never in Anton's control. Neither am I criticizing any of them for what I think (probably wrongly) is a lack of intelligence. If its true, there's nothing they can do about it, allowances need to be made, and it may make some of their on and off pitch decisions more understandable. What winds me up is intelligent people saying and doing stupid things out of malice or idleness.
Yesterday was the first time park has been allowed to play out wide, albeit on the wrong wing. He isn't a Center mid, but played the role while we were short in the middle. Give him a chance and he will be a firm fans favourite. You don't get the reaction from utd fans like park got after seven years without being a quality player!
Agree re Ferdinand, should have been subbed. But for me it needs to be Mbia and Nelsen in the next game. AF is making too many mistakes.
