Terrible day for us. Think 2-0 is harsh considering our play, especially in the first half, but we shot ourselves in the foot (both feet this time) as usual.
Btw was I too off to suggest that we probably have a better midfield and defense than Man Utd and Chelsea? (well I said midfield only, but the defense was improving)
This is why our defensive performance against Stoke was encouraging. I have more belief in this team to deal with these type of approaches.
Everyone but Gerrard it seems. It'll come good though, there are lots of positive signs. We just need a goal or two to get some belief or momentum. We've had three seasons of ****. When anything goes wrong (like Gerrard's pass today for the first goal) the belief is so brittle that it snaps.
I've seen some of the posts on your board. Fair to say a few of you guys are impatient. Unlike Spurs, there are positives for you, so you guys should show some patience.
Brilliant. Couldn't have wished for a better outcome from that penalty, even if RVP is in my fantasy team.
