Pepe Reina looking as shaky in goal as our Robert Green. Arsenal were doing a Swansea passing the ball around at will. You shouldn't let a player like Andy Carroll go out on a season long loan, unless you already have someone lined up to replace him.
The problem for Liverpool is the 'Dalglish is King' faction will scupper Rodgers just like they scuppered Hodgson, until they realise that a Top Four place has to be earned rather than is their right they'll be also-rans...
looked like arsenal were taking the p*** in the last 5 mins..and agree, how stupid to let carroll go with no back up! Rogers is stubborn and will be gone before xmas.
There are rumours flying arund that Rodgers was told that Dempsey was all lined up so he let Carroll go. It then appears Ian Ayre ****ed up the transfer on Dempsey once Carroll had already gone which left us with nothing. Not Rodgers or the owners fault but Ayre's an there is takl about him being moved back onto the commercial side of things so he is no longer in charge of transfer dealings. Rodgers signed with a long term plan, and Liverpool fans know that. We'll give him time unless we are fighting relegation come Xmas there is no way he'll be gone.
To be fair to Liverpool they were playing against one of the Big Four today so any kind of a result would have been a bonus for them. They're a good, solid upper-mid table Club like Newcastle and Spurs. They did brilliantly last year to win the Capital One Cup as that is around the level they've been at for years now. There's no difference really in size now between them and Everton. I wish them well in improving on last years decent 8th place finish.
