Cheers, Chris. Have to say, Sterling looks like he is going to be some player. Very impressed.

    <cracker> Brilliant result.

Great to see Pod and Cazorla getting their first goals. I think Giroud did well too, although he should have scored. He worked hard all through the game and did a lot of good work off the ball.

Biggest shout goes to PADDY DIABY <ok>

Well that was unexpected! I was questioning where our goals were going to come from but Pod and Cazorla (who was excellent again) proved me wrong.

Diaby and Jenkinson also performed brilliantly.

    Really happy!

Another magnificent defensive display by Jenkinson. Impossible to beat one on one.

    Overall analysis:

Diaby has been a beast. This is why Arsene has been holding on to him. Just hope he stays injury free. 9/10

Cazorla: Well what can I say, a goal and an assist. Great game by him. 8/10

Pod: Had a great game, defended well and got a goal. 7/10.

Giroud: Made some decent runs but should've put at least 2 goals away. I'm hoping he won't become another B52. 5/10.

Arteta: Played really well today, defended brilliantly. 7/10.

Oxo: Don't know what has happened to him, still seems a bit off. Didn't do much and didn't track back enough until the second half. 5/10.

Jenkinson: Had a bit of a shocker in the 1st half but redeemed himself in the second half. Great display. 6/10

Verm: An absolute beast in defence. Saved our bacon so many times. 8/10

Mert: Got caught out too many times but made a great tackle in the first half. 6/10.

Gibbs: Made some great runs and was competent defensively. 6/10.

Manoune: Played well, made some outstanding saves... but we were lucky Liverpool weren't more clinical. 7/10.

    Overall team performance: 8/10.

Wow, I didn't think we'd pull a performance like that out of the bag! Very impressed. Vermaelen and Mertesacker had great games at the back, our midfield was very fluid and moved so quickly and our attack is coming together. Podolski took the first brilliantly and Giroud was popping up in great position all the time. Very happy with that display.

This result will give our players a HUGE confidence boost. They all played well, and a few had some great performances. Two of our new boys got on the score sheet too.

I think we could really kick on from here

Sterling was amazing for Liverpool. Basically terrorized our defence the whole game. I'm sure it won't be long before other clubs start making some bids. Liverpool did get a bit too thuggish though in the game, especially Gerrard. Suarez drama queen antics were only second to Ronaldo's. Sahin was annonymous but it was his debut. If Liverpool were more clinical on another day they would've got at least 2 goals.

We're back, and we're feeling mean. We seem to enjoy getting stuck into challenges now, and can defend aggresively again.

Steve Bould wins motm in my view.

I thought Liverpool actually played quite well, which is even more credit to us that we contained them and hit them on the counter <ok>

Also worth mentioning that we won 2-0 without our front 3 clicking. When they finally gel, things could get better.

    Great performance.

Mertesacker Is clumsy and gangly but his positioning is excellent.

Another clean sheet. This point last season we had conceded 12 goals.

    Carzorla is a different class.

Joe Allen was getting heaps of praise for his passing ability, and finished the game with 74 passes and a 93% success rate. Arteta on the other hand made 92 passes with a 95% success rate.

I don't think Liverpool fans should fret to be honest. Once their midfield gels they will be a force, their midfield has some great players and Raheem Sterling is brilliant. I think all they need is to bring in another striker and they'll have a solid side.

I think you lacked a cutting edge today, Gerrard doesn't seem to suit Rodgers' tactics.

Sterling is a real talent though. I know you guys have been raving about his performances for your reserves, and now he's showing why.

One tiny negative, someone needs to tell Jenkinson not to play them ****ing stupid passes across the defence, Suicidal.
