I thought i'd start another one so that we can all start afresh. Hopefully stopping all the pathetic sniping that's been going on.
    My thoughts on Hughes;
1). I very much doubt that players of the calibre of Cesar, Genaro, M'bia etc would have signed for any club without faith in the manager.
It is not only about money, just to forestall those posters who believe it. These guys are looking to further their careers. To use QPR as a
stepping stone into the Premiership. Hoping that after 2 good years (or less) that they'll be picked up by a bigger club. I know Cesar is getting on
a bit, but he says he wants to become number1 for Brazil again. These guys aren't stupid and wouldn't sign for a manager they didn't respect.
Football is a small world and Hughes has been around long enough to be found out. It also seems to me that we would not have signed these guys
without Hughes or somebody as respected.

2). It seems to be an accepted fact that MH is a slow starter, that it takes him about 10 games to get things right. We saw that last season in spades.
Why? I think it's because he tries players in different positions and combinations to sort out his best team. He'll tinker around until he's comfortable.
This is why we need to give him some time.

3). I think he'll play two teams, one home and one away. I think he had Taraabt pencilled in for home games, at least until yesterday. He'll set the team
and tactics up separately for each game. Trying to keep it tight away and score on the break and be more expansive at home, probably with Cisse
    as well.

4). He must be desperate to succeed here. This is his big chance to build something and to get him back to managing a top 4 club. He knows if he fails
then that's probably the end of his career. He can't blame "lack of ambition" here. So because of this he's going to do his absolute best to make this
"project" work. Which is obviously great news for us.

Because of the above we have to give him time to sort it out. We should respect him for what he has done so far and keep the faith. Don't forget that
it's also up to the players on the pitch.

    (1) Hughes' record in past jobs, if not outstanding, is pretty decent.

    (2) We only just confirmed what he has to work with; it's fair to allow some time to make the most of it - especially if one wants to build a flexible approach with adaptable players able to switch between a number of formations/styles according to the situation. With the quality available, it would be right to ask questions of the manager if results do not come in time.

    (3) At the start of an era particularly, the manager in day to day contact with the new elements has a big information advantage over the armchair critic - so there may be reasons we can't pick up yet for unexpected choices which aren't glaring blunders.

    (4) Hughes is better looking than Warnock so deserves more time.

Thanks Queen, i had forgotten that all important point of how much better looking Hughes is than Warnock.
That must have tipped the balance with a lot of the new signings

And I thought Rainbow boy above was the only "Queen" on this Site............

Queen, your point number three is very important. No-one knows what goes on behind the scenes. We must just hope he knows what he's doing.

I know i keep 'banging on' about it but most of these 'out brigade' lot need to remember where we were 3 seasons ago? They also need to remember the amount of managers we went through and how distruptive it was.

MH will do just fine and we all need to let him get on with it without moaning because we lost to the Champions.

All i would say is remember Luton and Vauxhall motors away because i do.
