What did we all make of him?? I thought he had a good game considering he hasnt played much, hopefully he's proved a few of you critics wrong and shown he deserves to be near the first team.<party>

he was a passenger. doesn't want to tackle, doesn't press, doesn't want to find space, just wants to wait until the ball is passed to his feet and then play simple balls away. i thought he was our weak link today. although i don't remember seeing him do that much so maybe missing link is a better description. when i did my player ratings everyone was 8+ bar koren 7 and oli 6.

I thought he had a decent game - sprayed some lovely passes about. Added some aerial presence in central midfield.

Thought he was splendid, put in some tough challenges, made some brilliant touches, with a few games in his pants hell be very handy.

Useless. Never made a tackle. Jogged around...made a few easy passes. Contributed nothing. Will be out permanently if we get Mayler who CAN tackle. Definitely the weak link yesterday.

Maybe we were watching different games, he made a few crunching tackles, made some excellent longer range passes up the pitch, hung on to the ball well in the middle, offered height. Thought he had a good game and will only get better as he gets up to speed.

exactly, the team as a whole played very well for 90 minutes, and its unfair to single one person out for criticism when, as a whole, everyone put in a good performance. Oli included

Think you're confusing him with Faye who did make some crunching tackle. Offers height but never challenges for high balls. Circles around the player with the ball but never challenges. If Meyler comes he's back to the bench.

On yesterdays display by the whole team, I think it's petty to criticise anybody. If you don't have the ball ALL the time then you go unnoticed !
That doesn't detract from your contribution. Grow a brain critics and thank ALL concerned for 3 vauable points. Nuff said ! !

I thought Oli had a fairly decent game and am confused by some of the criticism? Best game I've seen at KC for a while and best team performance at that. I guess some people just like to have a moan. Shame it's international break time as I reckon we could have got some momentum going following this game.

Oli did his job well, passed long and short. He got some decent tackles in and challenged in the air. That role goes unnoticed McKenna usually plays that role and goes about his job effectively just as Oli did. Not many people in that position stands out as a MotM performance but still do a solid job

I cant believe anyone can criticise any player yesterday. Its the best team performance for months and every player put in a shift. Hell, what do some of you people want ffs?

Typical city support...find a negative out of a massive ****en pile of positives! How many times do our balls over the top squirt out of play for a goal kick? Oli's chips over the top had perfect weight every time and stayed in play for Simmo/Elmo/Aluko to run onto. I also saw him challenge for a number of 50/50 balls....coming out on top.

I thought Oli was decent yesterday, he grew into the game, gave us some much needed height and protected the back 3. Problem is with him is consistency, but he deserves a place in the side against Millwall even if Meyler does come in.

I thought Oli played well today, in fact I thought he played better than McKenna in certain parts of the game, for example, McKenna and Evans last season were physically unable to pass the ball forward, it was crab passing or back to the defence, Oli actually sends a decent pass to the wing backs or to Simpson, I remember Oli setting up a few of those counter attacks that almost led to a goal, I didn't notice his crunching tackling as Chester took the show with that part of the game, great performance all round, no one had a bad game

FFS i bloody loved yesterday, the most complete team performance i've seen for a long while but what's wrong with picking on areas i believe could be improved? the way i saw it he was poor. maybe it's just my expectation that a 8ft 6 ****house of a CM shouldn't jessy around and want to win the ball? he was the only player i thought we could have improved on, rest of the team were fantastic to a man.
the fact this thread is up shows i wasn't the only one and anyone who wants to call be a neg for having an opinion about how an albeit brilliant performance could be improved, go for it! :)

Thought he had excellent game, which surprised me considering his long standing lack of fitness, well done Oli
