    Our 21st Century hypothetical squad needs to include SEVEN defenders.
    Three have been selected from the defenders thread:

    SOL CAMMPBELL
    YOUNES KABOUL
    LINVOY PRIMUS



    There are SIX candidates for the remaining FOUR places in the squad.

    Please vote for up to FOUR candidates in the vote to complete the defensive list.

    How does De Zeeuw only have 1 vote? He was consistantly our best defender between 2002 and 2005, he was a great club and team captain and the centerpiece of the defense in our 1st Division winning season and first few season in the premier league - with the likes of Primus, Stefanovic, Festa, Foxe, Unsworth and Schemmel rotated around him. If he doesn't get in then I will be extremely dissapointed, especially since Matt Taylor could have gotten in as a midfielder instead.

    Left and right side wouldn't have much cover. Got to have De Zeeuw, Herman, Stefanovic and Johnson.

    As it stands at the moment we have Johnson and Distin, with a 3 way tie for the other two, between de Zeeuw, Stefanovic and Taylor. I will leave the polls open for a few hours, but in the event of a tie, I will have to choose with a casting vote:emoticon-0107-sweat

    If you have no clear winner I would suggest chosing De Zeeuw and Stefanovic since Taylor will have another shot at getting in as a midfielder while they can only get in as defenders.

    No more votes cast so de Zeeiw and Stefanovic are in. Matty has also been selected as he has been voted in as one of the midfielders <ok>
