It's all subjective. There were 5 or 6 outstanding performances. Simpson was the best to me, then any of Oli, Amos, Aluko, Quinn for 2nd or 3rd.
Quinn Chester Aluko I wouldnt put Olofinjana in my top 8...what exactly did he do defensively. The odd nice pass to wide open teammates. Any 50/50 ball...forget it!!
Dotn get me wrong i've been on about signing Quinn for ages, did have a great game. I just thought Oli was superb. Great defensive header first half. Then he got a ball in the CM area facing our goal instead of just laying it back to the CB's like Mckenna and Evans would do he turned and hit a 40 yard ball to Elmo. Who was excellent too. Thats what a wide man does attacks his man at pace and some of those passes he put thru between the Cb and left back were great, especially the one for Simmo.
1) Olifinjana 2) Faye 3) Quinn/Simpson Faye was a rock and Oli oozes calmness and class on the ball and in the tackle
The one tackle he averages each game. He backs out of 50/50's more than Stewart, although I agree he's good on the ball and plays nice simple passes. Just wish he'd put a foot in sometimes.
Oli might put a tackle in if he actually was on the pace of the game, he is constantly a yard behind everything that is happening - he was without doubt, *in my opinion*, the worst City player today.
Wouldn't like to say who was MOM today. A good display from all concerned ! But if I had to, I'd say 1) Aluko 2) Simpson 3) Quinn Should persevere with Simpson 'cos he's the man to solve the goalscoring problem, given time.
Without wanting to be negative how anyone can have Oilyvagina in there is baffling.. didn't realise he was on the pitch until just before half time. Whilst he wasn't poor he was our least effective player (as he usually is if ever he's lucky enough to get anywhere near the side). On the positives there was a good dozen quality performances.. Koren and Chester are often over-looked for MOM these days due to the fact they're brilliant more or less every week.. the two new lads had cracking starts, Amos,Dudge and Bruce solid.. Aluko looks fantastic every time he plays and Simpson's like a different player. THE FUTURE'S BRIGHT.
1) Simpson 2) Quinn 3) Aluko I know it isn't asked for but for a personal 4th I'm going with Elmo, I don't remember the last time we had a player get so many decent crosses in one half of a match. 4) Elmo
great result today..cant comment on mom cos i cant get commentary in scotland...(hull city official site wont accept maestro for premium account)..GOOD TO SEE ALUKO ON THE SCORESHEET though..as i said when we signed him, he will be a great asset..seen him play many a time at ibrox. if anyone knows how i can get commentary on hull games please let me know
I think people should look at Olifinjana's completed pass rate before slagging him off! I bet it's right up there!? Did I not say McKenna's sending off would be a blessing in disguise? Oli's time to shine me thinks! 1 Quinn 2 Simmo 3 Elmo/Oli
