Anyway,West ham 3 Fulham 0 and Carroll hasn't scored. I get the feeling that he's going to a Robbie Keane, wandering around aimlessly.
The FA Cup? I would be inclined to agree. With respect we are better than Birmingham, Leicester, Spurs and Liverpool so I don't know how much (if any) influence RDM had but with regards to the CL the change of tactics definitely worked and he rediscovered the team spirit which AVB had fractured. Let's be honest HIAG as bad as we were, we were not a patch on United vs Bilbao
Completely disagree, Carroll has played really well according to the reports and is showing up those who called him 'donkey' and the like big-time. He's nothing like Keane and I wish we'd have got him in and shifted out Defoe.
I'm with you on this, Thor. I think Fulham have allowed themselves to be distracted by the "threat" of Carroll, instead of concentrating on where the play is actually at. The reason why both the Toon and 'Pool were so ineffective with Carroll playing, is that top teams know exactly how a side (with Carroll in it) is going to be set up. Such a side is too one-dimensional, which has been my major criticism of Carroll. Let's face it, Fulham are not a top side, and they have been considerably weakened with the loss of Dembele and Dempsey. They are going to struggle this season. This match is one that the Spanners would have been expected to win without Carroll in the squad.
Yep Hod,and he was substituted with Cole in the second half. There doesn't seem to be a place for this aimless player but Fulham with Jol there will spring a surprise or two this season even though mainly you're right they will struggle. Totally agree about one dimensional,it's what I was looking for but couldn't find.
Michael Own on Twitter:- "Not sure about some of you saying Spurs have done best. The players they have brought in will do well to match the players that they lost." Bitter, are we, Mr Owen?
Hey, as long as it decreases the chances of us signing him, I'm all for him chatting **** on Twitter.
What's he going to say? "Why's he starting with two holding midfielders and Defoe up front on his own? What's that all about?" Wouldn't bloody surprise me, actually.
And he used the system for months in the league, despite only winning one game in that time, in which he used different tactics.
Savage was putting the boot in throughout Final Score (we had to have Hudds wrongly sent off to get him onside), so if Harry sticks the boot in it'll be a terrible way to end World Bacon Day.
'Arry's popular for being a nice guy so he'll be supportive whilst Hansen/Lawro/Shearer puts the boot in to AVB and Levy, and praise Redknapp.
I couldn't care less what Hansen says, the man is an odious tool. Chelsea fans are over AVB, it's him talking about us half the time
