Lots of players in different states of fitness, due to recently signing, largely being left out of the pre-season, or going to the Euros or the Olympics. We look a mess, frankly. Villas-Boas has a lot of work to do and he won't get to do much with the international break coming up. I really don't want to see us playing two holding midfielders again any time soon, though and Huddlestone's ban won't help that cause. Despite it not being a red in a million years, we never successfully appeal those decisions, so I expect it to stand.
We could have been spanked if it hadn't been for Friedal. I've not heard us "boo" like that in a long time. some one said recently (not sure who it was) how the days of conceding late goals were put behind us a couple of years ago and we'd resolved that problem. well, here we are again.
