Now I'm not sure when the deadline is, but I've had a look at our squad and we only need to register 22 of them.
This gives us 3 empty spots for January purchases.
But we could also fill them earlier from the pool of free agents.
I know most of these players are not top quality, but they could be brought in to do a job with very little cost (only wages).

Akos Buzsaky is a very talented attacking midfielder who used to play for QPR. While not on the level of Cazorla or Wilshere, he would be good competition for Ramsey, being about his level. He is also 30 years old: not too old to harm performance, but a good amount of experience to give to our young midfield.

Nigel Reo-Coker, formerly of Bolton, at 28, could come in and do a job alongside Arteta.

Owen Hargreaves, if he got over his injuries, is a very able footballer.

Even someone like Emile Heskey might be good. He'd give much more presence than Chamakh up front if Giroud and Podolski became unavailable.

Now I know these are hardly star names, but they could be useful squad additions. And I'm sure there are other players from abroad currently looking for a team.

Is Reo-Coker really without a team? He is a decent player, and would be useful for you guys, as you seem a bit light in defensive mids? Wasn't that long ago he was in England squads.

I don't think any of them are good enough to be honest. They're all likely to settle for Championship teams.

Rather rely on Coquelin and Ramsey, then these duds.

Emile Heskey? Really...? He'll end up at Blackburn or a similar team in the Championship.

FFS is this thread a piss take, I would rather go to the north pole and bring back a huskey to play it up front than a heskey, it would probably score more goals, get a grip people

Bring a bit of bite to the attack with the huskey's dogged attitude?

i wouldn't sign a single one of those players, i agree with Wenger, we shouldn't sign someone average for the sake of signing someone, those guys would bring nothing for us.

Del Piero is available. Got to be a better backup to Giroud than Chamakh is.

I would take Drogba. Still make a great 'impact' sub.

The rest are inferior to the youngsters we already have at the club.

I agree, but didn't he refuse another Chelsea contract in favour of the £300k a week he was offered in China ?
I can't believe we could offer anywhere near the wages Chelsea were prepared to pay, the same wages that weren't enough for him....
