My mate rang me today and said they had a spare space in their team when they play at SJP on 1st June.

Its £110 and I jumped at the chance, you play a game on the pitch, use the changing rooms, go for a meal after the game where the players go.

I know it seems like a lot, but its once in a life time, and to have the opportunity to score a goal in front of the Leazes End(not Gallowgate:)) is something I would love to do.

Has anyone done this before as I know it was on last year?

I thought about doing it but because of the distance I have to travel, its not realistic to be able to get a squad of guys available for it. I wish I could go though, like you say, once in a lifetime opportunity and a dream for any Newcastle fan.

    Enjoy it mate <ok>

  4. Someone did it at my old work place. He said it's a great experience and you have to do it, but he reckons it aint worth the 110 quid and Mike Ashley is exploiting toon fans on things like this.

I don't know it you play against another group of lads or against coaches. A mate who played last year said he played against coaches.

Thing is, even if there was an extra zero at the end, I would still find a way to afford it! It would be an unforgettable experience.

When you register your team, you either choose if you are a group at the level of saturday league players (northern league, alliance etc...), sunday league or just casual. and they try to match you up.

Unfortunatley there isn't an even number as either some think they are better than they are or some good teams make themself out to be **** to get an easy ride.

I played 2 years ago and the team we played turned up looking the bollocks in spanking new strips, said they were saturday league standard and got matched up with us. Seems they were just there for the experience tho. we won 11-0. Kinda put a dampner on the day a bit, but still well worth it.

Sounds amazing. 110 quid does sound quite a lot but as you say, once in a lifetime aint it, so probably well worth it!

    hope you score! <ok> haha
i expect you be wearing a t shirt underneath advertising Toon not606 for your celebration

I mentioned wanting to do this when we were on about having a match between us all! I would defo pay the price, but it's getting all your mates to say they will play, and then parting with their money (which is the hard part)! I hope you have a great day! I don't think it is too expensive, by the time you've got a meal (£50-£70?) then its only another £60-£40 for the 90mins on St. James' Park, plus you can get changed where Tiote does!
