Looks like they are going to be struggling away from home again this season - 3-0 down at half time to West Ham
It would appear that dembele was more influential than first thought. Even though we've got West Ham next wekk, I'd kind of like it to be 5...
Ha ha, I thought about posting a similar thread fella, but thought I a bit early to be writing them off just yet Long, long way to go yet of course, and Berbatov could turn out to be a superb signing, but I did say they would miss Dembele and Dempsey should they go - which they have - and Murphy enormously, Duff will spend half the season injured so do you still think they're a shoe-in for top half finish? I still stand by my pre-season prediction that they are a team we should be looking to finish above this year, and whilst they have been brilliant at home the past few seasons that counts for nothing in 2012/13. And we were absolutely God awful that first match, the binners would have beaten us that day!
They were pretty terrible away last season too, and indeed for quite a few seasons despite doing so well overall in the PL. Dembele & Dempsey are huge losses so perhaps my assessment of their chances may change by the end of the year, depending on how many goals Berbatov can give them. To a point I will agree the goal posts have moved since two weeks ago but just how far I am still not sure.
Damn, I think this is the game that I originally forgot to predict. If I hadn't, you might have given me one point out of sympathy.
The same Fulham that humiliated us us being humiliated by West Ham side which Swansea annihilated. Bodes well for our prospects this season.
It is a sobering thought but as it is Saturday and the game starts soon I am doing my best to not be sober
May just reflect that the league is still settling down because there are so many new faces and so much instability at clubs. They really should close the transfer window a week before the season starts.
Agree Vietnam. Just want the league to be settled down before rival like Swansea and West Ham hit double figures on the points board.
