Poor Jeff Stelling (a local hero if ever there was one) and the best link man on TV today is smooth, funny and very knowledgeable as usual but watching today he is surrounded by total ****wits like Make mine a half Merson, Fat le Tissier and Phil scouse gobshite Thompson. Only Charlie Nicholas offers a good analysis and intelligent commentary to help poor Jeff out. The programme is ruined by the 3 stooges imo and used to be so good. Where is Walsh, McNally and the likes these days? They were good.
Forgot about Rod Marsh. Always a good bit of crack and that head shaving showed he had the bollocks to back up his ****e. I agree he is a huge miss. I'd love to see the likes of Ron Atkinson back on the TV as well. Always a big fan of Big Ron even if he was a tube for what he said, he shouldnt be banned for life from the TV.
I like Merson being on for the pure comedy of how thick he is, Thompson and Le Tissier are awful though.

They should get Walshy on more often. I played a charity footy match with him a few weeks ago and even though he is 50 he was still the best player on the pitch. We went out for a beer after the game and he is one of the nicest blokes. Loves talking football and chatted to me for about an hour about the elp, spurs Liverpool Sunderland. He think we will do well under Mon. They should get him on more. Merson is clueless. I could tell you some stories about him too as he lives near me but I would probably get myself in trouble.
Unless its another black person saying it?
