Some of the signings made by other clubs this window puts Liverpool down as about the 13th best squad in the league.
Not sure I'd go that far, but you'd have to say that having lost Carroll, Kuyt, Maxi and Bellamy, Liverpool have had a worse window that any on the clubs who finished above them last season. People talk about RVP being a big loss to Arsenal, but those four players scored around a third of Liverpool's goals in the league...and Liverpool didn't score all that many! Not sure why they're now quibbling with Fulham over a couple of mill for Dempsey - a blind man could see they are desperate for a 15 goal a season striker.
Dempsey was a far too sensible buy for the scousers to do...They need some joke like Carroll, Downing, Henderson to squander their money on.. I cannot see the scousers getting anywhere near that top 4 for the foreseeable future...It seems like all the teams around them (from 7th to 15th last season) have now got better squads than them. What price Rodgers next manager to be sacked?

When you dominated football was very, very different and we won the odd FA cup, which was a far bigger deal than it is now, and the rivalry was as intense then as it is now.
