You know what, lads and lasses?

We've done better than most this transfer window / close season.

Plenty of quality in, plenty of quality staying, plenty of players moved on.

Look at the toon - will they be happy? Probably yes at the stayers, no at the incomings.

    Arsenal? Liverpool? Villa?, etc?

As long as the faith given in our new full-backs is justified, we have done ok.

I'm well chuffed kidda. Been a cracking summer of dealings and with AJ and Fletcher we will have a good attacking force. If you can score goals you will do well.

Here here, great window think we all would have been happy with what we got prior to it opening. Young Rose will be a good LB going forward but not sure about him defensively. All in all one of the better transfer windows

:emoticon-0140-rofl:If you'd posted in June that we would sign Johnson, Fletcher, Saha, Cueller and Rose....I'd have bit your hand off!!

After the massive wholesale changes by mr Bruce at each transfer window opportunity, this is exactly what we needed IMO, 2-3 quality signings to improve an already decent squad. If we can do this at each transfer window we will bring some much needed stability to our club. Just imagine 2-3 transfer windows like this one, we will have a cracking team/squad capable of contending a top 6 spot I'm sure of it. Rome was not built in a day, unless u are owned by a shiek or russian gangster that is.

Biggest signing this window was Sess. New contract means he is 100% committed to the cause and even with AJ coming in I think Sess will be the main man this season. AJ and McClean will take some of the attention off him and he will wreak havoc among defenses.

I would love 1 more in Milner or Defoe would be amazing but we have kept Campbell who I think will get a few goals this season and I don't think we have seen the best of Gardner yet, I think he might surprise a few this season. All in all very positive :)
