Brendan shows signs of his plan working...

Breezy, by then I had received numerous pm's asking to close or move it. Funnily enough none were from the people having a go at Dai on there and that is why the question was asked to them too.
Rightly or wrongly I had a decision to make and as the majority were against it I closed it. Perhaps as has been suggested it was because of who it was rather than the content.
In my opinion Dai was not being malicious but he clearly didn't realise the strength of feeling against Rodgers at the moment.
I've told Dai that it was nothing personal and I hope he takes me at my word.
If anyone ever wants to ask me why I've done something then I have no problem with that and I will be happy to explain my reasons. You may not always agree with them but you will always get an honest answer.
I'm sure that there will be decisions to be made in the future that will not be popular with everyone but that's the name of the game on here and I will take the rough with the smooth. One thing I can promise is that I will treat everyone equally. Some will think I'm good, some bad and some may even hate my guts but at least I'll be fair.

Never doubted you for a minute Breezy and happy to answer any questions.

I'm a great believer that the forum belongs to the fans and if needs be then the mods should be there to explain any decisions they make, popular or unpopular.

Personally I think we are lucky on here because I've seen some of the stuff on other boards that mods allow and I'm shocked. Ash and Mabon are both really good mods, I just hope that I measure up to their high standards.

 

They probably just got pissed off with having to spend the next 5 days banging their heads against a brick wall trying to explain why it got deleted to a bunch of wingeing bastards

Anyhooo back on thread.... If the state of play at the second team on merseyside is anything to go by signings, or should that be non signings wise, and if it was the intention of brenda to get the the fans questioning him, saying that they're not going to listen to anymore of his press briefings etc. Then his plan is working, brilliantly! They may look like they can keep the ball better Dai, but they haven't got anybody to pass to who will do anything constructive with it! Good plan? I think not. Top 10 finish? Don't think so! Brenda three year plan? Finished within 12 months. Dai don't bother in future.......

You got to laugh though at their unmitigating disaster at bringing players in, Dempsey who they tapped up and siggy who they also tapped up refused to go to Liverpool , both went to spurs instead and we signed quality players and a cracking manager all paid for by liverpool

 

The transfer window didn't go to plan though, did it? He may find his squad a little thin, letting out 4 players and getting no-one in. The Americans refusing to back his judgement on Dempsey doesn't bode well - despite the fact they really need a finisher and they would have been picking up one for 6 million.

Seems odd to farm out Spearing and Adam with Lucas injured and no replacement... and who do they have to go upfront? Strangely enough Carroll was the only one who seemed to have an eye for goal at the moment, but as he didn't immediately fit into the system he had to go.

 

Apparently on the BBC website Brenda didn't realise that a 20 mill buy fund that he was given was to include wages as well until late in the day! Bit of a fcuk up really then! If they don't get a result against a non firing gunners, then sit back and watch the fireworks!

you lot have very short memories, Brendan was the best thing since sliced bread when he was our manager.. talk about double standards I hope he does well which i think he will given time, spurs and arsenal were bottom last season and they both came good in the end and there is no reason why liverpool wont do the same..

 

Dai - According to Swans fans, Laudrup will also be a complete failure soon. Seems most fans think we have the best manager in the world when he's here, but then he's suddenly transformed to useless the day he leaves. They were crying when they heard he might leave, but now they are glad he's gone. If he's so useless, then why were so many fans so upset? They should have been celebrating.
