Its obvious that FSG are to blame after Rodgers signalled that Liverpool need a striker who can score goals so the owners will have probably told Brendan that they wont be giving him any more money to spend. Probably will be a backlash from the fans so will be interesting as an outsider to see how this unfolds.

I think Ian Ayre may be partly responsible. He tried to play a game with Fulham it went tits up.

    Hello mate Welcome:

Pacheco is leaving too according to himself, yet to reveal where.

Blaming Kenny on everything is incredibly simplistic. Even if you maintain that he, alone somehow spent all our money on the wrong players which somehow limited BR's budget it doesn't answer the problems with this specific set of negotiations.

It also doesn't answer long term issues that predate KD's second spell.

It doesn't justify the owners lack of knowledge or control at their club.

Also find it weird that you claim we shouldn't criticise anyone & get behind them blindly. Tell me out of interest: did you afford KD the same luxury?

Not saying KD hasn't had his part to play but he was no where near single handedly responsible for the ills of our club.

I'll leave it at that! Brave honest first post though. Again Welcome to the Board! :)

God knows why the **** Ayre is doing the transfer negotiations, he's about as charismatic as a ****ing lamp post. We need to have a position dedicated to ****ing transfer negotiations, a DoF but without the power.

Please tell me, do you honestly think Dalglish was the one that negotiated the fees involved in any of our transfer dealings let alone sanctioned the final fees?

We've gone from paying stupid fees in the range of £35mill, to baulking at £6mill fees. You talk of bad management, It doesn't fill me in a great deal of confidence to have people in charge who have made 'yo-yo' decisions. There's not knowing the football business and learning from past mistakes, but one extreme to the other just makes you look clueless

Apparently Pacheco posted on his Twitter account that he would reveal soon which new club he would end up at so probably wont be at Liverpool much longer.

Cheers guys, enjoyed reading posts here for a while as a lurker but very poor circumstances I know; I think we loaned Pacheco to Real Vallecano for 2011-12 but he is back now. As for Rodgers' comments about goalscoring players, guess we now must assume he meant the goals will come from attacking midfielders! And please please no return for Michael Owen, how can he wear our shirt again after wearing the other red shirt.

FSG are the first to admit they want to financially strengthen their investment(the club)which they have with sponsorship's and partnership's and they have also admitted they that BR wont have big funds to spend(BR stated this himself), but they cant have it both ways.
It looks like they've been more involved than Rodgers today and they and Ayres haven't got a scooby doo how to do football business.

Speculate to accumulate FSG or watch your 'investment' sink.

@ The_King, I come in peace, we are one...obviously Commoli and the board were very involved in those ridiculous transfers but Dalglish was also implicated in them, you're suggesting that he was given players he didn't like or was not consulted on fees/wages but I can't imagine a man of his character and attitude standing for so much that he didn't like. His success with our club is undeniable of course, but I refuse to continue to idolise him based on some nostalgic pang, he seemed totally out of touch during that last tenure. We have to look forwards to be able to compete in the modern game.

I don't think the owners have invested a single penny into the club, I think they may have made a substantial profit thus far.

First...Ziggy... YOU THICK ****!!!! Are you too ****ing thick to remember Comolli. You know the French **** that spent all the money you are slagging Kenny off for doing, just wind it in, and stop spouting bollox, just because you're having a diva hissy fit.

Second... All of you.... drama queens... yes, we've screwed up,, now we don't have anywhere near enough cover up front, but is it the end of the world?!?! Jesus... Which part of this being a transitional year, have you all magically forgotten about?? Just expect to finish 18th and enjoy anything above that as a bonus. Just like last year, we have a new manager, and half a dozen new players. Why on god's earth are you all expecting a better outcome from last year?

Last time I checked at 5pm, no-one really wanted Dempsey of Sturridge, so why is it now the end of the world that we haven't got them? If we put a value on a player, and if that is not good enough to buy the player, then why is the torch wielding angry mob out for blood because we wouldn't pay more than what we felt was worth it.. We should applaud the strong ethics on player values

The lot of you, get a grip, grow some balls and man up.

It's a good day, Adam has gone, Morgan will get more of a chance, as might other young talent, didn't we all want that? Or was everyone else just paying lip service to that, while desiring a £25M instant hit?

Have you seen that advert with Joan Collins?... that's you lot, that is, go eat something...

Another first post on what has been a depressing, embarrassing night. It wasn't all KDs fault but I do agree this is the result of long term poor management. It was like we didn't really want to sign Dempsey, we were negotiating like a mid table Championship team. We should blindly support the team and manager from here on in because they are really going to need it. Glass is half full when looking at the Man City performance so no need to completely implode, but that squad is very thin on the ground for cover. YNWA.

So Brendan was quoted as saying he would be a fool to let Andy Carroll out on a loan without a replacement lined up..

    <doh>

The one thing he handled poorly at the club was the Andy saga, and its come back to bite him.

Mmmm...I'm all for looking forward but to do so blindly and without query would be on par with the "idolisation" you keep mentioning.

KD, Comilli, they are gone. This new revamped system created on the advice of "experts" is completely & utterly the Owners responsibility. So any errors made now must be answered by existing management. That's looking forward. To continue to blame people no longer at the club for events happening after they've left is not looking forward.

As I stated on another thread; I've like BR on the pitch changes and acquisitions but whoever is responsible for the events today vs statements made by BR has an explanation to give...it's not a deal breaker just a valid question.
