I'll say this before we sign anyone. Or don't.

I don't think this whole striker thing is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL. I think we can survive with out current squad, goals was not a problem last year, and other than losing Wilbraham and Vaughan (1 goal last season) we havn't actually lost any goals. I know we play more defensively but I am confident we can regain the goalscoring form once we've fully adapted to the new style.

Before someone says, I am saying this because their is 30 minutes left, I've said it all day!

With all the CMS thing, I'm actually hoping nothing happens, I'd rather we keep the money for January.

I think CMS could do a job for us

Agreed- people are criticising him for the fact he played out wide; scored 9 goals and made the Brighton fans love him last year. For me he has proved at Peterboro he can score for fun and he has proved how versatile he is at Brighton. A player who can provide competition to our front line and our wingers is exactly what we need.

I think you have been wrong all day. Last year is irrelevent - we had a different Manager with a completely different way of playing. Our new Manager obviously prefers to play a lone striker and neither Holt, Morison or Jackson can play that role. Holt and Morison both need someone to play off them and the only striker who can play that role is Jackson - what if he gets injured? Holt and Morison as a front two is not a viable option in the modern Premiership. Lambert let the midfielders charge forward - Hughton won't. Where are the goals going to come from? Please don't mention Martin because if Chris Martin is the answer then it's a bloody stupid question!!

I've never mentioned Chris Martin today, I am still surprised he is here today.

We've also debated this today, we'll leave it and see what happens in the next hour, I worry their will be panic if we don't sign someone.

Holt and Jackson as a partnership will work in my eyes, I think now Vaughan has gone it leaves us thin admittedly but I still think with midfield chipping in and supporting Holt up top more I think it'll work. We have the players in my eyes to switch how we play and make it work.

I just don't think it's the disaster people make it out to be, still think that we might sign someone though.
