Agree re Taarabt - people jump on his back far too easiliy - he cannot play on his own.

But regarding the first bit about Granero - I dont consider myself to be an avid follower of Spanish football, but I have heard of Granero and rate him highly. A spanish mate of mine at uni who lives in Madrid couldnt rate him high enough. Whenever he spoke of Madrid he spoke about Granero.

I think you've inadvertently hit on the very reason some of us criticize Tarbs.

He hasn't produced yet in the Premier League, only in the Championship!

Did well towards the end of the season. Yes, not a whole season and only a handful of games, but the same could be said for a large number of "Prem" players.

Quite right mate and that's a reasonable position to take. We all know his potential and he showed glimpses of that towards the end of last season.

Its the lunatics saying he's the best in the Prem or that Barcelona should be after him, that annoy people. For God's sake, surely he has to be able to produce one good season in the top flight before we start saying stuff like that?

Totally agree mate, but unfortunately this type of talk generally goes hand in hand with flair players.

Adel has the skill to grace any ground, but unfortunately it is a team game and is all about results, both of which he has yet to deliver on, on a consistent basis, in the Prem.

Absolute rubbish..I'm not having a conversation with someone who openly rates Tarbs above a proven seasoned pro from Real Madrid with league and international titles under his belt...

Terrible terrible comparison...Those that do, may i suggest you spend a bit of time on You tube and see what this guy can do at the highest level...not in some second tier league of English football

Who is Granero...really..? come on...players that can play?....You need to brush up on Spanish football mate...IMHO

Of course you are right Queens but look back over this thread and its not as bleak as you might think. There's plenty of level-headed guys with a balanced view of Taarabt. Just look at Jammers contribution above.

Thankfully, the nut-cases of the likes of COL, Oddball and Yorkie now seem to be well in the minority.

Opinion has swayed our way Queensy as we knew it eventually would!

The last two games I've seen his replacement Hoilett he's been ****, I'd have Taarabt back in instead of him, class player love watching him.

What are you talking about ye Ludraman? You sucked COLIN's dick for nigh on two years until it turned out he was a cu*t after all!

How can we trust you now?

Dont disagreew ith ya North on that point, but to put him anywhere near the same level as Granero is just plain stupid.

We're comparing a player that came through RM's ranks with one of the best ever mid-fields and has done and delivered at every leve, to a guy that had a good season in the Championship after being saved from the reserves at Spurs. He has won nothing of note and not delivered when given multiple opportunities...
At his age Granero was playing for his national team and featured for real madrid...come on..there can be no comparrison

But for all that, i will still give him a chance

He'll be able to play in the same team with Granero no bother, I'm not sure that's the case with him and Hoilett.

Toilet's only played two games to be fair North. Tarbs has had an entire season on top of the two games this year and he's been pony for 80% of it.

But as Queens says, he still deserves 10-12 games to finally show what he can do.

3 games, he was excellent 1st half against Swansea, that's why I'm bit pissed off I haven't seen the same level from since. He'll have to "step up" as Kerry says as well!

1 half out of 6. That's under 17% North! Are you having a laugh?

I have to agree with this. The bloke goes missing. Very disappointing. He needs to impress and he couldn't even do that v Walsall. He didn't appear after the open training session either for fotos and autos with the kids. # big time charley.
