It has really been disgraceful with the way this club has handled itself during this transfer period, losing RVP and Song, and bringing no midfield replacement, and bringing in no striker. Incase anyone wants to DARE and say Giroud and Podolski are the replacements, Wenger himself said, when he bought them, that they weren't RVP's replacement, so if they weren't his replacements, they can't be after he's gone. We needed a new midfielder, we didn't get it, we needed another attacking threat, we didn't get it. Wenger and the Board have practically taken a big **** on the fans of this club, and any hope and faith we've had, that's basically the repaying of our faith. Instead of building on from last seasons struggle, we have regressed, letting go of our key players, and bringing in no new players. Arsenal needed far far far more work than 3 signings this summer, especially when you lose 2 key players. Disgrace.
Dempsey to spurs £6m That's a bargain. I reckon if you'd bid £6.5m he would have taken you over spurs every time Why the reluctance to take a punt?
I don't share your view or have any comprehension why you have your point of view. This has been a fantastic window for us - A+.
I assume we've not signed anyone today then? I've seen that Park and Bendtner have both gone out on loan, surely we now need a striker, all we have if Giroud gets injured is Chamakh.
Real madrid are looking to take Essien now. Mourinho knows he's worth taking a punt on. Class player. If we make one signing this window I hope its a manager who actually gives a ****.
Fact is that if we'd signed Podolski, Giroud today and then Santi Cazorla at 22:55 tonight, people would be creaming their pants. The last day of the transfer window is a bit of a pantomime
Yep. Quality signing to be fair and one they needed. But with VDV and Modric gone they replaced them with Dembele,Dempsey and Sigurdsson. Is that an upgrade or not? Also they lost their best defender for four months just this week.
A fantastic window? Are you serious!? Top scorer, best striker, talisman & captain - gone Top assist provider - gone Bendtner - only on loan Denilson - only on loan Chamakh - still at the club Squillaci - still at the club Arshavin - still at the club In fact, they failed to sell...anyone except Vela!! Cazorla looks great, a Fabregas replacement just a year late. Pod & Giroud should come good, but they won't score 37 between them. Can you honestly say Arsenal are STRONGER than last year? This team, if it is progressing at all, is taking baby steps. It will not challenge for the title, or the Champions League this season...again. Arsenal don't progress, they simply tread water.
