    Guys.. I'm seeing our top 8 rivals, and even mid table sides strengthen quite a bit for the season ahead.
    This, coupled with our injury concerns and already stretched squad (Europe) is giving me a bit of a nagging worry about our ability to do well before the transfer window reopens in January.
    Am I alone in feeling like this?

    Maybe its time for one or two of our kids (Haris, Fergie, Campbell, Streete etc) to step up?

    Europe League seemed like an exciting thing last season, but now it seems like a burden, as the club don't seem to care, and we've not made the signings necessary.

    No guarantee that all these signing other teams are making will be successful. Sure we will still be in the top 8 at worst.

    I really don't think its that bad. We've got a decent first team and this year our uality of cover is better than last year, even if the quantity is down. Another saving grace is that we have quite a few versatile players who can do more than a decent job of filling in various positions (Perch, Anita, Jonas, etc). While there are definitely teams that have strengthened well, I think I'd prefer to be in our shoes than either Arsenal or Liverpool's (with 2 hours still to go).

    I'm sure the kids will step up to the plate and do a decent job for us, but it would have been nice to have an experienced pro come in before the deadline.

    Everton seem to be spending more than usual, I'm also keeping an eye on Swansea, they like Everton seem to be making 'Prudent ' signings, and two very good managers between them! :emoticon-0112-wonde:

    Apparently Denpsey didnt want to go to Liverpool cos the deal was £4m plus Henderson.
    They only wanted the £4m.
