Back to the thread.... So not Sunderland, not Villa...... RedScouse have just 11 hours to stop playing games.
A part of me really wants to see him back in a FFC shirt, and I'm sure if he started knocking in the goals again all would be forgiven.
Very good trick by Jol/Fulham to accept Villa's bid though... Shows to others that no matter who you are, you need to show some respect!!!
just heard on SSN that we have rejected a bid from liverpool? Either that is too low an offer or maybe Demps is seeing the light?
Related, in that Sturridge was allegedly on L'pool list ahead of Dempsey - Sturridge is on Chelsea bench for their game tonight. Sounds like it's going to be like a poker game between us and them - "Texas Hold Em" anybody ?
In that case it's advantage Fulham. We don't need to sell, if he continues to refuse to play, his wages will be docked, so no loss there. Liverpool need a goalscorer having missed out on both Walcott and Sturridge and will pay what we want.
Liverpool are going to have to pay through the nose for him at this stage. MAF is a businessman above all else and if Liverpool offer us an offer north of £7m for a player who is not happy then it won't matter who the club offering money is.
BBC writer Ben Smith on Twitter says talks took place between Fulham and Liverpool yesterday. Liverpool offered Charlie Adam in return - Fulham said no. They then offered Jordan Henderson - he said no. Looks like they're reluctant to pay cash.
I'm not entirely sure they have cash. Nobody was willing to pay for a permanent transfer of Carroll and could only flog Spearing out on loan. Don't know if the Adam money will be enough.
