Yeah, if you read it in context he is most definitely referring to the sacking of Pardew and the uncertainty/worry over how Cortese will react to a bad run. And people on here (me included) have said the same thing, or variations on a theme.
The BBC seriously need to bring their punditry into the 21st Century, dinosaurs like "at the mowment" Lawrenson and "great, sensational" Hansen are firmly stuck in the 1980s and the game has moved on massively since then. Lawrenson has never had any interest outside of the big six clubs and probably couldn't even name Nicola Cortese as our Executive Chairman.
As long as that doesn't mean more Robbie Savage, Jason Roberts and Ian Wright then i'm happy. TBH never had much problem with Hansen or Lawro, although Lawro can be a bit patronising at times.
Mind you I'm not that fond of Jim White....why does he shout all the time....he will be unbearable tonight.

You guys should seriously just not listen to pundits at all. What do you really expect them to say? There's only so much that can be said about football, and I hear all the BS at work and here anyway.
its that fact that he hasnt qualified what he's said that annoys me. How can you say there's a question mark over the owners when they've presided over 2 of the most successful years in the clubs history. we'd be where pompey are if it wasnt for the owners. And what ML and other high profile pundits say does matter because millions of people read / listen to what they say and therefore it forms a false picture of the club.
Don't think he had time to qualify it. It was a 250 word match preview, not an article on the club. I think people are reading more into this and putting their own spin on his words.
Lawro doesn't know what he is talking about regards Saints, and, pundits simply can't know everything about every club and will consequently spout nonsense from time to time.
You're all missing the point. Lawrenson, universally recognised as a monumental ****wit who gets almost everything wrong, has dismissed Saints chances against Man Utd this weekend. This is brilliant news given his track record.
He actually got five results right last week, so perhaps not a great omen. It's better than me in the prediction game anyway...
I hope Colin Murray brings it up. Got a feeling he will as it's his style to rib people about things. When Pat Nevin was on MOTD2 they spent at least 10 minutes talking about THAT penalty. Lawro will probably just not go on MOTD2 anytime soon though...
