This whole thing's a bit of a reality check for Taarabt...

Not so very long ago he was all for dissing us in the hope of a Toon kind of stepping stone to one of the top four. Two twos we get a couple of quality players in and all of a sudden he has problems making the Rangers bench!

Well, is he a super star or not really? Be interesting to see what he does about it all.

If not in Jan, at some stage. Still not convinced he can maintain the required level of consistency in the PL.

Good comment, mate. The guy wanted to be a star, playing with stars and now he will either sink or swim .......... let's hope he's got the floaties on and starts dog paddling.
Better still, hope he goes for gold!

Tarbs hasnt been consistent enough.Faurlin is just coming back from a serious knee injury,so could be tough for him if the new players perform?.Same goes for Mackie, for all his hard work, etc I cant see him getting a look in with all these new players..assuming they perform. Nice problem to have I suppose, but can see a few going in Jan.

He can't. Give me the mallet and nails. Taarabt is much more mature now than he was 12 months ago. He won't play every week but htne I don't think he will expect to with a much stronger aquad of players to choose from each week. Perhaps the doubters will learn eventually that getting rid of him 18/12/6 months ago, by Staurday/end of January or next summer will have been/will be a disastrously short-sighted move. Having almost scored maximum points in the Premiership League last Saturday, I am almost wetting myself art the prospect of all that humble pie. For it will come to pass.

Could be the making of him.
Hughes clearly wants a strong SQUAD and there will be some big names sat on our bench from now on. All part of developing into a Prem team!

Taarabt will overcome any signing as I fully expect him to learn quickly however you have mainly missed the fact that this boy can play ... He would shine at Madrid now! in fact any top European team ... As he plays with the European flair something that the average English fan doesn't see or understand ... The game is changing Taarabt will have no problems and still remains our top player IMO
You need a key in any team now to unlock the game ... There are less and less formational tactics in football now
It's a theatre with a prize MH knows that and fans are catching up
You need to think outside the box now to fit into what football now is
Based on many opinions on here then Taarabt shouldn't even play in this league! I hope some of you get behind your team now and stop picking on players or MH after each game
I understand the transition will be hard but look at yourselves!
You will be saying the same about our new signings that you said about SWP
etc ... Don't turn on Taarabt he is QPR
    as are the other players

    Stock check Fools Stock check!

By the way, who is Granero? Bit too soon for all of you to be drooling at the mouth before he has even kicked a ball for us. Not every faded European star manages to perform in the PL. Perhaps you will be caling for the noose to put round his neck after one or two games. Short termism? Pots kettles, pots, kettles.

Well said and to think there were calls that we were panic buying!. Granero came out and then drifted into the night If these fans can't trust the superstar back room staff now compared to what we had then they should hang their heads. I just hope they don't turn on Granero as he adapts and learns to fight in this league and also they now all understand that MH will need time just as Roberto Mancini has at City after all that is the model we most closely are replicating.

The people that called for MH's head ... line the ****ers up I say or send them to Hull

He will shine. You play to the level of the ability around you. I have not stood up and clapped at a player since Stanly until Adel came along - sinclair's goal of the season apart.

Come on lads, its statements like "he could play for Madrid now" that get the goat of the rationals on here. Sure he's got great talent but to say he could do it at Madrid right now is just plain daft.

He's never competed well in the top Division let alone the top of the top Division. That said, there's still hope for him as we know he has it in his feet. Has he got it in his head though?

So far the answer he's given us is no.

I would hardly say faded mate. Just isn't getting a look in at Madrid 'cos they have too many of his ilk that in the opinion of Morinho are better. He is a REAL star and some say we have yet to see his best. I'm hoping it's in the blue and white hoops :)

My point is a valid one though. Until we were linked with him how many of you had ever even heard of Granero? Just because we have now signed him and he was at Real Madrid does not suddenly elevate him to the status of footballing god. Happy to join in the celebration but not every one is an instant hit. He may well need some time to adjust. I just hope that all our new players are given that time. I am still appalled at the almost unversal condemnation of MH and the team after last week's performance at Norwich. There are enough failures in the very recent past to justify my wish to keep my feet on the ground for the time being.

I can see the point of those of you who have your doubts about Taarabt but who are prepared at least to give him the chance. However, he has had a lot of criticism over the last 18 months which leads me to think that some of you have never really thought he was anything more than a luxury and that we were better off withiout him. Those of you who think like that would prefer a workhorse with no skill but plenty of stamina. Sorry guys, I thought we were now in the Premier League and we wanted players who could play a bit.
