The thing with having fish is that's it, you can't go having gravy or curry sauce with it. That would be wierd and I do like a bit of moistness with me chips. Cod, Haddock or Plaice round here, none of that cheap ****. This is is a seaside village for **** sake, not an inland oasis.
Thats what Ketchup is for Curry sauce is doable with fish and chipsm, just keep it in the pot to dunk your chips in so as not to contaminate the fish with the curry sauce..
True, it would be acceptable. I might well do that actually. Whatever keeps me off the Biltong. eh? So, booze recommendations? I find it hard to look past a cidre or two as far as the apple juice is concerned. Sainsbury's have a 4 for £6 ale offer that's not too shabby either. Wouldn't mind going our for a few actually but that 7.30 tee off time is then in big jeapordy.
Been there, done that. When visiting parents I went to circuits with my mum and brother. She decided we had to have something to eat so we didn't feel queasy so gave me a tuna salad then told me we were leaving in five minutes. Threw it back up in the toilets after some over exuberant shuttle running. Stupid bloody woman. Personally I'm a big fan of running, mainly cos there's an awesome little track round the park out the back of my house. Steep hill up, followed by rolling hills down and then a flat bit to jog it off for about a mile in total. Five laps of that and I sleep like a baby and wake up looking like a white Usain Bolt. It's Friday tonight, so that means pizza and ice cream . The Friday meal of choice since I was about seven
I dont really do much drinking at home, if I do its only ever wine.. That said I have a crate of Carlsberg export at home left over from the festival last week. If i were you, I'd go to the boozer after work having been and procured some booze from the supermarket, then go home for chippy tea followed by ale and or wine.. Thats basically what i'm doing minus the chippy... The mrs is doing a warm chicken and bacon salad... then some vino and a few dvd's.. I'm cooking tomoro night.. Not sure what yet, quite fancy some calamari.. The sunday off to Drayton Manor with my mate and his kids... I have procured some bob hope which will enhance everything somewhat..
Well if they have aldi or lidl in scotland they do the best frankfurters.. dont like the tinned ones or the ones in a jar really...
We use those Herta German vacuum packed babies for the kiddies when we have a barbeque. They love them. Cooked in seconds. You can't beat an ale, cidre or cold lager sitting in the back garden, I always have a fridge full of the stuff at home. This being my booze fridge in the garage. Not that this is sitting in the garden weather of course! Wine is the drink of choice ordinarily though.
Have you got a shed as well?? Have always wanted a shed.. a massive one.. with a gym and a bar in it..
Gravy on fish?! Can tell you're from up norf Tonight I am considering traditional beans on toast with grated cheese
nowt wrong with chips mushy peas and gravy... probably wouldnt contaminate my fish with that though.. more suited to a pie..
