The forum clowns ( Baz and co ) think he was only good because he had pace... I would suggest he would be the second best striker in Liverpools squad right now if he went there, possibly the first as he unlike the others knows what a goal is and where to find it. One of the best strikers in the world in his day and apparently only down to pace
United already have creativity there with the likes of Cleverley, Kagawa and Scholes, could even include Anderson who does well when he's given a more attacking role, it's a more defensive option that we have been missing since Fletcher became ill.
Would make too much sense. Tbh though our midfield is fine, not amazing but decent enough. Aslong as it gets the ball to our wingers or Kagawa we will be fine and I dont see them struggling with that.
This. I'm more surprised we aren't in for Garcia. £24 million for a guy that can play CB, DM and CM - solves all our problems in one. Can only assume SAF believes Fletcher will be back in a couple of weeks - played 90 mins for the reserves midweek and will apparently be in the CL squad. IIRC, if Fletch is counted then we have reached our maximum 25 squad for players 21 or over in the PL and CL so we can't add anyone else without having to kick someone out. So that may be why we aren't in for anyone.
